i love madonna, but lady gaga writes all her own music, and is an accomplished piano player, writting her first piano ballade at the age of 13.. and for those of you who havent seen lady gagas acoustic versions of her songs..you should..

Gaga is actually quite talented. If only she'd keep her mind on the music and avoid the nudity/shock/controversy angle she's been trying to exploit to good effect ala Madonna.

the two are both fame whores...one about to start a tour and the other soon to announce the US leg of her current tour...i wouldn't be surprised if its all staged.

Well Celine's just staying in the same so it's not really surprising for her to sell a lot

This doesn't smack as a burn to me, sorry.

If anything, she comes across as taunting so that she finally has someone talking about her in the press again. Considering her past mock press feuds with Mariah, Whitney, and Janet have fizzled.

She should have spent more time crafting some good music on her latest CD rather than use cheap tactics to get publicity for her tour.

It’s like 1985, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96 (GAP in 97 - 98- she found her spirituality and being ‘nice’ and ‘humble’ to the sounds of the sitar and chanting some Hindi was her latest fad) 99, 2000, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11 – all over again.

Not a fan of Ga Ga by any means but at least she has the dignity to remain silent and not provide any more attention on Madonna, which is what she is hoping for

It was wrong for Madonna to come at her like that.

Even GaGa's less inspired work on "Born This Way" has a spark that Madonna hasn't been able to muster for the past several years.

Madonna needs to stop trying to compete with girls a third of her age, take some singing lessons and really TRY to put together an album that is special as opposed to one that the kids might like.

I think it's tacky, had madge left out she's not me she could have had the last laugh by showing how similar the songs are while putting on a great show, instead she comes off as bitter and oppurtunist by making it an attack.

While either way, bitch knows how to stay in the headlines.

People on the org always choose sides but Madonna and Gaga have some of the same audience!

This is more like when Prince was making fun of "Oak Tree" (Morris Day).

Sounds like a tribute to me.

Anyways, Vadge shouldn't be dissing younger, new artists, especially ones who are outshining and slowly replacing her.

I have been a fan of Madonna since 1984 - and have all her albums and releases etc - but her last couple of albums have been terrible. Shockingly bad - and her Superbowl was great BUT I watched Prince's superbowl last night and his was so classy - and he at least acts his age. One thing I dont like about Madonna is her "potty mouth" wish she would stop foul language - sounded good in the 90s with her Blonde Ambition Stuff - but not now - sounds so crass.

Lady GaGa - I am off to see her in the next couple of weeks (saw the last tour tour too) she is brilliant and very clever with her song writing and playing - I think she will supercede Madonna as Gaga does have more talent - when she is just on the piano singing - it shows.

But I can do without the meat dresses and all that hoopla.

that is why Prince is so cool, he knows how to act his age but still be funky - his stage is great but not theatrical - it always comes back to the music with him, rather than the gimmicks. Well now anyway..............

On the downside - having seen two Prince concerts now no other concert will be good enough............................

Maybe so but I still prefer Madge! She is the original and that always counts for more in my opinion. Plus Madge doesn't come off as desperate and attention seeking as Gaga.
