New bobby Brown album rocks!

Anyone get it yet? This is a tight album. 10 strong tracks. Some are r&b, some have hiphop flava and there's even a country song. 2 songs feature Raplh Tresvant, who to my surprise can rap! Johnny Gill duets with Bobby on another track. This album is great. A really strong comeback!

I listened to clips, it's a lot better than I expected. I do kinda find it amusing that he called it "The Masterpiece" though

Isley brothers did that too. And that wern't no masterpiece either. Kinda bullish but hey, it's Bobby.

I might pick the CD up. I actually don't mind a few of the tracks from his critically shat on album "forever". But that should of been so much better, but for some reason he ditched the original producers and turned in a very midtempo collection of uninspired rnb, save for a few tracks which were good.

His voice is definitely grittier now but I like it. You can't sound 17 forever. R&B singers are so known for having silky smooth vocals that whenever someone rough around the edges comes along peole say they can't sing. I happen to also love Kelis's voice and people have been saying for years how awful she sounds.

It's not 1988 anymore & he sounds like it.

You know what else? Fuck it. He sounds PROUD of the "dents in the fender" & furthermore this is a decent ass album.

It's quality production-wise, contemporary, confessional, inspiring & even fun in a couple spots (despite the unfortunate album title). Good on him.....

It won't be my album of the year, but it sure as hell made the list.

Right? I couldn't agree more. The album is a lot better than most people might think. It's pretty solid. I think it might make my end of the year list as well. Probably not number either but I think it will place somewhere. Good for him for getting back in there again.

Too bad Bobbie spends most of the CD screaming versus singing...and his vocals are definitly damaged from all the drug abuse

However there are some bright spots

Get Out The Way - is a bouncy summer jam!

All Is Fair with Johnny Gill is nice.

Okay so I listened to the snippets. From what I heard, the album isn't terrible, but I don't know if I would buy it either. shrug I can say he sounds pretty good, like his old self, but when I heard the track that sounded like it was techno, I had to chuckle....and then skip. The album still doesn't beat the "Bobby" album, which I still rock to this very day. nod

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
