Ciara looks nice (the outfit and her figure) but I have to get this off my chest... WHY DO THESE BLACK WOMEN DYE THEIR DAMN HAIR BLONDE?? Like WTF? eek

Its nothing appealing or attractive about it at all. Its tired and makes them look old with that trying to look white/European look. She would look so much prettier with black or brown hair.

I blame Mary J. Blige for starting that "black women with blonde dye hair" bullshit back in the 1990's. And damn that Sasha Fierce-infested Beyonce for taking the BPB (Brown Paper Bag) test to the limit. But that's beside the point.

The point is that I've convince till this day that most (NOT all) black women in the USA are trying too hard to have hair styles like white women. Damn all of that crap! I like to see dark-skinned & light-skinned sistas wear the hair on their heads all-natural more often.

What do you mean Bouncy took the brown paper bag test to the limit?

"Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Mary J wasn't the 1st

And it couldn't and doesn't make her look mixed or white

Etta James went blond, Jill Jones was blond Tina Turner

Which proves my point,

You might say it doesn't look right on him, it's his life and many people did like it...

But you didn't conclude you thought he was trying to fit into some kind of Europeanized standard of beauty because he is a man and we don't judge men by their outward looks the way we do women.

Chris Brown does it, people give or take a comment

Rhianna does it and people go into the physiological racially ingrained self hate conversation

Sometime people just accept every "ingrained racisted inplication" behind too many things. When there are many people that just don't care and will change up their look every year.

Again is Nikki Minaj feeding into racialized conditioning when she wore her hair blond, pink or purple?

But see that was MY personal opinion.

BLONDE and especially BLEACH blonde doesnt look right on everybody and sometimes just because a African American may be fair it doesnt necessarily mean it will look right on them either. A darker color brings the features out better and vice versa sometimes TO ME.

There were many many people who trashed Chris Brown when he dyed his hair blonde and I do not feel like searching for the millions of comments he recieved. Im also sure people liked it as well because everyone is not going to agree on everything.

Like I said, this discussion is on CIARA and primarily people were talking about how WOMEN are portrayed. I dont know why your bringing men up to show that men dy their hair as well etc WE KNOW THIS but the discussion was on women. I also said ALL AA have been white washed but its more than just hair like for example, how they are depicted in movies, the types of roles they have in movies, shows, etc... Its not all specifically centerd around looks and OF COURSE not just specfically on women.

Once again your picking out specific people. We can talk all day about specific people. Im talking about a specific issue that applies generally IN how hollywood depicts and has depicted black people but of course it doesnt apply to all for the billionth time.

I've already said the same that certain colors and lenghs work with some women and not on others. There are some women that can do almost anything and it works. Everyone can rock a Halle Berr short do.

I explained pretty clearly in bring up men, that many times women get judge more harshly by the physical outward appearence than men. That men do it and overall it's nothing, women do it and all the pschoanalysts come out.

So if it doesn't apply to all for the billionth time, why waste time applying a condition to someone you don't know, and don't know why they dyed their hair that way. People are individuals, everyone isn't trying to look more white.

I've said it before, when you are dealing with entertainers artists etc they do things for different reasons other than racial

No I understand the who Europeanized ideals of beauty, I'm never denying that that could be a part of things.

Through out this conversation you have made every excuse in the world to minimize this issue. Now are you honestly going to sit here and lie about denying it?

I would not have challenged your arguement otherwise.

Geeeee... you dont say?????? lol lol lol

Have you been reading the thread? razz

I just think it's get simplified to that "Europeanized" thing ALL the time and I don't think its true

The problem is, the issue doesnt get brought up enough because people dont want to talk about it. Its hardly ever simplied into Europeanized and each and every time someone boldly makes that arguement they get bash just like the truth always does...

But whatever, I dont like Ciaras new wig but she looks great as usual. If you like so be it. Im not trying to change your opinion on her new look. However, that isnt going to stop me from commenting on how black people are Europeanized a arguement that so happens to be true. If you rather not talk about the issue, be naive and bullshit it so be it.

leave Black Mixed Biracial Multiracial women alone to decide why and what they will do with their hair. It will be the year 2300 and everything they do will still be racially politicized.

You are ignorant and beyond childish. No Im not going to stop expressing my opinion. confused You need to get over yourself and get over the fact that you dont agree with opinions which is fine but you have no right to bash other people with judgemental over the top posts just because you disagree

When I iniatially made my comment. I was not specifically exclusively referring to Ciara, go back and read my first post. I said I didnt like her new hair color but then I went into a general issue that affects and has affected AA in hollywood.
