Ciara Is White Hot On The Red Carpet!

Ciara hit the red carpet Monday night clad in all white, but she looked anything but angelic!

The singer left her shirt completely unbuttoned at the premiere of "That's My Boy," giving attendees more than an eyeful. A tiny pastie was all that preserved her modesty!

Skintight python jeans and white pumps completed her sexy look. Check out the photos below!

Wow, thought it was Beyonce at first. Then I thought it was Shakira. Then I read the headline and realized it was Ciara!

Unfortunately because that particular look, the white or light skinned with blonde hair image has been upheld as the beauty standard for decades upon decades and its that standard has brainwashed many. Too many people buying in to that westernized mainstream ideal of beauty I'm not a fan of this look on Ciara, she doesnt look like herself. As I said in my other post I didnt even recognize her at first, thought she was somebody else! But I bet the people in good ol' Hollywood are loving this look and saying she looks hot. SMH.

But see Tina was HUGE way before she dyed her hair blonde... its different. Some successful black women feel in order to be successful they have to appear lighter and have blonde hair.

Thats why I applaud women like Janet. Shes fair skin but never went that route with the blonde look and still experienced cross over success. Shes cut, dyed, went natural, etc with her hair and did because SHE wanted to not because of what she thought others would think of her.

I think Ciara is a naturally pretty girl unlike most of her peers but the blonde weave makes her less attractive to me.

Im a black woman and Im proud of my natural black color hair and I love it.. fuck the bullshit. Its one thing to have blonde weave but its another when its done because you feel you will be more prettier or more successful because of it.

Finally, some sense in this thread.

I understand the point being made, but hair is just hair isn't it? Going dark, brown or natural works for some but not every one. For some women, blonde, dark, brown and natural ALL can work for them. Some women look better with short hair, some look better with long hair. If an African American woman decides to go blonde, it doesn't necessarily mean she is going for the "european look"...for some that may be the objective, but not all the time. A similar argument that is common is how folks like to say African American women who still get relaxers are trying to be "white" instead of embracing their natural curls. Urgh. That's a whole other thread for another day.

As far as Ciara goes, when I first saw the pics, I felt she looked beautiful. I didn't mistake her as Beyawnce nor thought of her. IMO, Ciara's hair looks more natural than Bey's blonde weaves/wigs. She just looks different..albeit, still beautiful.

Oh please, nobody here thinks highly of themselves, its called expressing an opinion, ever heard of that? What's really tired is people criticizing or bashing others for expressing an idea or thought. Some think Ciara's blonde hair is pretty, some think its no big deal, some think she's trying to fit in with the standard Hollwood ideal of beauty. How about everyone just agree to disagree. There are no right or wrong posts in this thread only different points of view.
