Justin Bieber's Entire Tour Sells Out in an Hour

by Shirley Halperin, THR | June 04, 2012
Justin Bieber in Norway
Carly Rae Jepsen

Bieber Fever is alive and well in the Americas. The 18-year-old pop star, whose new album, Believe, is due out on June 19, sold out his entire U.S. and North American tour within one hour, according to his label, Island Def Jam.

In addition, tickets for Justin Bieber's two Madison Square Garden shows (capacity: 20,000), scheduled for Nov. 28 and 29, went in 30 seconds.

Bieber's Believe tour, presented by AEG Live, will hit 45 cities beginning September 29th in Glendale, Arizona. Fellow Canadian Carly Rae Jepsen, whose hit single "Call Me Maybe" was released by Bieber's manager Scooter Braun via his Schoolboy Records (in partnership with Interscope) is slated to open all shows through January. One dollar from each ticket sold will benefit non-profit Pencils of Promise.

This young man is huge. For those that keep saying his time up. Not going to happen soon. He is gifted..

I wonder how many fans bought the tickets as opposed to scalpers ticket brokers? Justin and the promoters make their money either way but there could be quite a few empty seats.

Bierber's milking his success as well he should. His camp knows his brand has a short expiration date. Less than six years from now the question will be: "What ever happened to...?"

good for him. the kid plays multiple instruments and sings without autotune. more power to him!

And, like his music or not, i'm really not sure why anyone on a prince site is bashing the kid. don't y'all shout about real singing and playing instruments?

seriously. i don't know why people get so worked up over his success. i have never heard any

song by him, i wouldn't even be able to tell you what his voice sounds like. i just don't care.

but even if he's as horrible or any of the other things people claim he is or isn't. why are folks

getting so mad that he sells so well? props to him, i'd say, even if i couldn't stand the cunt.

i don't think so. i think his team is doing a great job of following the justin timberlake model of getting over the teeny bopper image.

yeahthat I dont understand it to. I'm not a fan of his and his music isnt my cup of tea, but if millions of teen girls around the world love him, then theres nothing anybody can do about it. He's doing his thing, living his dream, he's not hurting anyone and staying out of trouble...more power to him. Every decade there is a teenage/young adult male singer (or boy band) that comes out with the bubblegum pop that drives the female teenagers around the world crazy (David Cassidy, Leif Garret, NKOTB, Backstreet Boys, NSync, etc...) and JB is the boy of this decade. Next decade it will be someone else and so on and so on. As long as teen and pre-teen girls exist, there will always be Justin Biebers or NSync-type bands in the music biz catereing to that specific demographic. We may not like it, but that's the way it is.

eek

His fans will only ever be teeny-boppers. His image may change, his fans won't. And as they get older, they will loose interest, which seems to happen sooner than usual, in recent years.

maybe, maybe not. justin timberlake's fanbase is not teeny bopper anymore. he matured his music as both he and his fanbase matured. I don't see why bieber won't be able to do the same.

New Music: Justin Bieber ... the World

Justin Bieber teams up with rapper Ludacris once again for a new pop/crunk R&B tune titled “All Around The World”. The track is Bieber’s 3rd single off his upcoming album, Believe. The last time Luda and Beiber made music together (“Baby”), they ended up #1 on the Billboard chart.

With the assistance of auto tune, Bieber sings “All around the world/ People want to be loved, yeah/ ‘Cause all around the world/ They’re no different than us.”

Listen to the track after the break.

I give props to Beib cause the guy goes out of his way and I mean really out of his way, and not in a a LOOK AT ME manner. Being asked to the prom by a tween girl replying and apolizing for not being able to but then inviting her to an award show thats top shelf. He's done numerous hospital visits with ill fans. He may not last in the pop world but he seems to actually care bout the people who like him and enjoy his music. When he starts making staff and union workers look away as he walks through the tunnels to the stage then I'll treat him like the rest of the worthless stuck up holier than though "artist".

Justin Timberlake made good music. Justin Timberlake transitioning from a teeny bopper to a lasting Pop Star was a natural progression.

Bieber is just plain ripping him off without any of his charisma. It just seems too calculating and formulaic.

are you truly surprised

not only I completely agree with what rialb said, but you gotta realize that little girls (and their parents, who probably hate his music) are his target fans

of course he's gonna sell a truckload of tickets, until his fans grow up

It's the tweeny-bopper sensation thingy. There's always one every 5 years or so. In the next 3 years someone else will come along and Justin will be history. It's like the Justin Timberlake/Britney Spears era all over again. lol Every couple of years there's a teeny/tweeny-bopper sensation in America.
