J. Prince suing Cash Money/Drake being scammed out of millions Rapper Drake, arguably the most talented artist on the rap-dominating Young Money Cash Money Record label, has sold millions of records. Since the success, his rap lyrics have become charged with taunts of his accomplishments compared to older predecessors. However, chinks in the armor may be in light as GOOD Music rapper Pusha T's rap lyrics on "Exodus 23:1", a diss track, are being confirmed true.

Hmm, don't seem like Drake is suing them, but better yet the folks who helped him get the deal with Cash Money. This is real interesting.

Yeah I read in a bit and it's not Drake. I'm gonna change the title though. I've always thought Drake should just be independent anyways.

I know Juvenile had hella problems.

Why would a mainstream rapper be independent? Everything he has done has been a strive for a record deal. He couldn't afford all the samples aswell. [Edited 7/30/12 16:54pm]

Weezy probably brainwashed him like Baby did him and he may be trying or has done the same to Nicki.

Yeah, that's just one thing you don't do, you don't fuck with a hip-hop legend like J. Prince. That's hip-hop history right there... the founder of Rap-a-Lot. Baby/Slim/Wayne fucked with the wrong one now.

And I heard a lot of stories about him ... they doine fucked up ... don't fuck with Prince. Ask Lil Troy and some other Houston cats. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Exactly. | |

Because of the So Far Gone hype a lot of people were hoping that he would stay independent, which would change hip-hop immensely. I was one of those people. Many of his songs have proven that he is more than capable of making music without samples. It's not far fetched that a mainstream rapper could one day remain independent and be huge.

For an artist of, in my opinion, relatively low calibre, I would say it is.

To a large amount of people Drake isn't considered low calibre. He would have no trouble being an independent artist.

It seems most rappers have that drive, it just seems most lack the nerve. A few have actually pulled it off though.

It'll take a lot of courage for someone to do, but if you get a rapper who's just in the right position and at the right tame, they could change the game completely.

Most of his fans now consist of shallow teenage girls. The Weeknd is recieved better around an adult audience.

You'd be surprised to see how many teens actually do love The Weeknd and how many adults love Drake.

^ Yeah I was stunned myself lol

When I went to a festival, where both of them preformed, consisting of adults, Drake was less popular and recieved poorly in comparison. [Edited 7/31/12 5:02am]
