Brian McKnight and Chris Brown diss each other on Twitter-Lawd!

via sister to sister

Rap beefs are common to the hip-hop genre, and now crooners Chris Brown and Brian McKnight are making it an R&B thing.

Brian, whose recent explicit singles have raised many an eyebrow, recently tweeted a comment that drew ire from Chris.

“Since everyone’s so opinionated I’m taking suggestions on what I should do next I’m thinking rent a lambo and beat the s--- outta my girl…,” wrote the former Take Six singer.

Brian also offered a comment that could be considered a jab at R.Kelly.

“Or maybe have sex with a 14 year old girl an film it that’s acceptable these days,” he wrote.

Chris, who struck girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009, interpreted that as a personal attack and didn’t seem to hesitate with his response.

“I see how this works now… When peoples careers get to the ‘nobody cares’ stage they use my name for publicity! Lol. I can’t keep helping these old n!gga$. Its miracle the way I’m bringing the dead alive!” wrote Chris, who opted to take jabs at Brian’s career, and not his personal life.

“I would have gladly wrote you something that would make u look less irrelevant,” tweeted Chris, who described Brian’s newest music as “trash.”

The latest music from Brian has resulted in mostly criticism. He followed up a song about vaginas with one about anal sex for YouPorn.com, according to TMZ.com.

The singer explained that the first song was a parody.

“I’m having fun because basically I have nothing else to do,” he told TMZ in April.

While many viewed his Twitter comments as criticism of his fellow artists, Brian later tweeted that it was more like social observation.

“It’s not shade I’m just reminding all of us what we accept on a daily basis,” he wrote.

See more of Brian’s tweets below.

I get Brian's message but it's the way it was delivered.

High profile guys like Brian should never resort to this because

nothing good ever comes of it. All he did was add more fuel to the

fire and give Chris more of a reason to show his ignorance via twitter.

Script, that's so mean neutral

He is a recognized performer with solid numbers behind him with a solid fan base. His appeal isto older people who listen to more conservative R&B. Even if you didn't intend it, that's so disrespectful to us old fogies out here. Everybody can't be Weezy Breezy and the rest of the rest of those wild ass kids running around taking hold of the current generation via the digital revolution, and there will be some of us that listen to the occasional Anita Baker, Brian McKnight, Take 6, or Chante Moore cd and are fine with that. Sounds like some o y'all are getting "high profile" mixed up with "24/7 appealing to young folks on the innnernetz-relevant". lol

High profile is whomever you listen to... put it that way. lol Because if you asked me anything about McKnight music career, I couldn't tell you jack. However, I agree with phunkdaddy, Mr. McKnight shouldn't go there. Brown needs to keep his piehole shut because he doesn't have a leg to stand; he was found guilty of felonious assualt.

Chris Brown is soooo immature. He thinks he has to respond to EVERYTHING someone says about him. I use to feel sorry for him and I admit the heat he gets is tired. However, a lot of the stuff he brings upon his own self. That really was unnecessary and he didn't have to respond.
