What a poignant song with a timeless message! Curtis is often forgotten by music lovers list of greats but he definitely earned his way into the pantheon of all time greats.
He actually remade his own song back in '96 when he released "New World Order". It doesn't compare to the original to me but it's still worth a listen...

Timeless song. My favorite version of this song is off of "CURTIS/LIVE!" There's so much space and laid back atmosphere in that version. It makes his lyrics even more powerful.
He even makes the audience laugh when he talks about the "brother with the process" staring at him. | |
