1) Chris Brown seriously had NO competition in his catagory. We all know the awards for top catagories is a popularity contest. The R&B album catagory looked like they had to scrounge around to find nominees. Chris had by far THE most successful album in that catagory!
2) If it weren't gang-up-on-Chris-Brown-until-something-tragic-happens for the past 2-3 years this story might have more credence. It's just another thing to keep the whole Chris Brown news cycle going until proven otherwise!

Don't they all buy awards though? I remember Beyonce's 16 Grammys already being in one of her videos before the Grammy telecast aired? How the hell did that happen?
This looks like just another attack on Chris personally.

Exactly. And that headline is potentially libelous, presenting the allegation as fact. You have to read the story to realize the allegation is a rumor. Whoever wrote that headline failed Journalism 101 when comes to reporting rumors. Really irresponsible writing. Just goes to show you that journalists can be bloggers, but not all bloggers are journalists.

Talent always wins. Chris has always been one hit away from a comeback. With all the negativity & being written off. He is still here. This is just another hurdle for him. Until his new album comes out & slays all. Usher get ready! will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! The whole Milli Vanilli thing was one of the dumbest things I ever saw. A group of singers make an album that will go on to be a huge success. But the manager decides that they need different faces on the records to make it marketable.
The music is so good that it goes 6x platinum and wins the grammy. Then it's discovered the people singing the music aren't the faces on the front of the record. You'd think the grammy would then go to the actual singers and that the public would want to hear their records.
Instead everyone proves the manager was right, that people are so shallow that they care who's on the front of the album cover more than they do about how the music actually sounds. Music that sounded good enough to go 6x platinum is cast aside, the people who really did make it are rejected.
Can it really be that if the first album looked like this:
instead of this
that it woudlnt' be good enough to get airplay or win a grammy? | |
