Chrisette Michele Talks New Album Project

June 1, 2012

Link

Grammy Award-winner Chrisette Michele allowed fans to stew over her 2010 album Let Freedom Reign for the past two years as she returned to the recording studio. Now that work in the recording booth is complete, she is gearing up for the release of her fourth album titled Better.

Chrisette is laser focused with establishing a bond on the new project that will be easily understood by listeners. "I need every record to be dynamic and exactly what I'm going through and experiencing right now," said Chrisette.

She adds: "I don't want to leave any guess work for the listener to wonder what I meant by anything. I want everything to be straight and directly to the point."

A record release date has not been set as yet.

Her last album was way too commercial for her voice. I played it twice and then sold it. I hope this one is more like her first 2.

I was so glad I received Let Freedom Reign as a gift instead of wasting my cash on it.

biggrin I actually thought Let Freedom Reign was a pretty good release. Even though it was misguided by both her and Def Jam, I still dug it. I just hope with the newest project that she goes back to the style of her first two albums.

Her mixtape was freewheeling and adventurous, but Let Freedom Reign didn't impress. She's still 10 X better than what's on the radio.

This is great news, I REALLY HOPE she EXORCISED her curiosity to have today's rappers on the new release.
