I didn't think it was good attack at Gaga. It sounded more like a tribute with She's Not Me just randomly thrown at the end. Big fan of both BTW

I wouldn't be surprised if Gaga knows about the whole thing and she and Madonna probably discussed it! Gaga's probably sitting somewhere laughing that fans online are getting so worked up about it. It's all entertainment and gives them both more publicity and all is being done in good fun. Really, people get so upset about something that's in the general scheme of things so unimportant.

Thats why I at least have some respect for her.. She has the talent so I do get why all the gimmicks? To be honest, I wouldnt want to be compared to Madonna because it waters down her abilities but with all the antics that she does, she seems to not care....

If only Gaga had admitted back then that she ripped off EY (it wouldn't hurt to say she was inspired by) none of these talkings would come this far. Instead she made a fool of herself not only 4 denying the fact but also 4 sayin' that she was thinkin' of Whitney Houston when she wrote the song...she had it coming.

I know when she said that... I was like girl who do you think you foolin? lol I think these stars think the public is really THAT stupid...confused

Its nothing wrong with being inspired by something. I think shes tired of the Madonna comparisions but she has herself to blame for that. Everything that she is doing, Madonna has made an entire career off of and has done it better. With Madonna that was who she was, she was shocking, she was controversial even when she wasnt on camera!!!

Gaga just does those things for attention but thats not who she really is... off and on camera.

Maybe so but I still prefer Madge! She is the original and that always counts for more in my opinion. Plus Madge doesn't come off as desperate and attention seeking as Gaga.

...and just what exactly was that period of Madonna's career from "Truth or Dare" to SEX? lol

remember her much ballyhooed masterbation simulation during this tour?

oh, and anyone got a picture of when she plumped her lips to high heaven with collagen for a few months in the 90's? That would have been right beffore she got preggars with Lourdes and she was trying that Muppet Lipps look.

Then, there was this period when she was lving in Miami and and everyone was just sick to death of her (at least in Miami we were)

and while she calmed down through the years, became a mother, a wife, and branched off deeply into spirituality, Madonna being Madonna, couldn't help but be herself and bring us moments such as this:

Nah...I'd say Granny Madge pretty much wrote the handbook on attention seeking behavior for pop stars lol

I have been a fan of Madonna since 1984 - and have all her albums and releases etc - but her last couple of albums have been terrible. Shockingly bad - and her Superbowl was great BUT I watched Prince's superbowl last night and his was so classy - and he at least acts his age. One thing I dont like about Madonna is her "potty mouth" wish she would stop foul language - sounded good in the 90s with her Blonde Ambition Stuff - but not now - sounds so crass.

Lady GaGa - I am off to see her in the next couple of weeks (saw the last tour tour too) she is brilliant and very clever with her song writing and playing - I think she will supercede Madonna as Gaga does have more talent - when she is just on the piano singing - it shows.

But I can do without the meat dresses and all that hoopla.

that is why Prince is so cool, he knows how to act his age but still be funky - his stage is great but not theatrical - it always comes back to the music with him, rather than the gimmicks. Well now anyway..............

On the downside - having seen two Prince concerts now no other concert will be good enough............................razz

I am a big Madonna fan too since she came out of course and I SO AGREE. That was my biggest problem with her SuperBowl performance and new videos and songs. Why try to be "pop?" I wonder if she's trying to appeal to her daughter and daughters friends and you know how that goes over with daughters. She could do something different. Like when she did Ray of Light. It was different, she looked amazingly healthy and it was age appropriate for her at that time. She could hook up with some other producers and produce something great but instead tries to stay relevant in pop and it's embarrassing.

Yes, Prince stays true to himself and doesn't "act" young or try to appear to be catering to a younger crowd and it comes off genuine most of the time.

But Madonna is being true to herself. Madonna is pop music, always has been and will be. Yes, Ray of Light was great but in a lot of ways it was a departure for her. What made her a star and a huge icon is fun pop songs like Borderline and Holiday etc. I don't see it as acting young or being something she isn't. She has always been a fun pop/dance artist. People just have a problem with it because she's older now and people don't think old people should be allowed to do pop music and have fun. On the one hand, you say she should be true to herself and on the other hand you say she should try something different. Make up you mind. Madonna is not Prince, she is herself which she is continuing to be which people seem to have a problem with.

I love more serious arty artists like Fiona Apple whose new record I can't wait for. But I don't necessarily want that from Madonna. I love her doing pop music, having fun and dancing. Everyone wants to strip away her life, her spirit and sense of fun. She is being genuine and being Madonna, but some people can't accept who she is mostly because they have all these misconceptions about how older people should be.

Regardless, why the constant fan vs. fan bs. Can't two females be pop stars at the same time, of the same caliber without all the fighting? It's all so silly.

I really think it's in good fun

They did the SNL show together and both had good things to say about each other

Yes Gaga is biting Madonna from left 2 right

They should do a hot song/video together

Both Italian both pop stars

Now this I definitly agree with.

I enjoy alot of Madonna songs and even some performances. I just think sometimes people overhype her talent and bunch her with a group of artists she doesnt belong in ex. Prince or MJ. I understand why because they were huge in the 80s but that doesnt necessarily mean they are on the same level of talent.

Just because a song is POP doesnt mean it has to be a dumb generic song, it doesnt even have to have depth but just something well constructed. That Give me all your love song was just not a good song at all. For me, it had nothing to do with her age. Pop is just suppose to be accessible and is simple. It doesnt mean everything is suppose to be generic.

I have no problem with her doing pop stuff, but there is something not quite right about running around in a cheer leaders outfilt in her 50s. It would have been better if she perhaps acted more like an orchestra conducter with younger girls running around in the outfits? Would be wayyyyy cooler (I say this as I have seen the cheerleader outfit for her new concert on-line- in her outfit).

I have no problem if she wanted to dress in S&M even, as that can be any age - but cheerleader stuff? Dumb as can be.

Looks like a try-hard - trying to keep up with Nicki Minaj.

YOu can of course be pop and sexy - just do it with style and be more creative, you can still be true to yourself and your style but grow with it, not try and hang onto the past.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

I don't think she thinks she's more talented than Gaga. Gaga is easily more musically and vocally talented than Madonna. Although, I think Madonna is a better dancer, which isn't saying a lot.

The fact is Madonna has been doing this shit for nearly 30 years nobody is doing what she's done and is still doing at the same level. She's the fucking queen. Undisputed.

PS - Of course she's digging at Gaga. It's pretty obvious. I love how she does it in her coy and snarky little way. It's not like she came out and called Stefani a style-biting cunt.

Madonna looks like a damn fool. She never pulls this shit with Britney. She always embraces her and treats her like the pop-daughter protégée she is. Why is she not doing the same with Stephanie? To me it's a miscalculation, which is weird because Madonna rarely misses a step and knows how to play the game so well. She should align herself with her offspring instead of creating a bridge. The teacher being jealous of the student is the dumbest mess ever.

Reductive my ass.

I don't know guys.

I hate to be ageist but pop music the way Madonna is doing it is strictly a youngins game. She looks like a grandma up there now. Not a good look.

And for an artist who prided herself on reinvention she's sadly run out of ideas, something I naively thought she'd never be capable of doing. But how long has it been 25 years? It's about time she's run out of ideas.

I say go into production. Bring out a new artist and try what Whitney Houston did, executive produce some splashy movie projects.

Yep. This is how the "age" arguements come up. Its not the fact she does pop music but just how she plays the game. Its not the same anymore. I dont like Gaga but I dont see why she called her out like that...really childish

I do like Madonna, but has anybody seen this article? I don't think it's THE definitive article on artists who've stolen music, but it does bring up the possibility that Madonna's music-stealing moments were just less high profile in part because she stole from lesser known artists. Gaga at least gives props to artists who've influenced her and doesn't go around trying to cheaply appropriate every other culture out there.

I've seen a few of her vids and she doesnt move me enough to buy her music nor see her in Concert....She has a STRONG Gay following so that means she'll be able to put on a road-show for the rest of her Career....
