Love This! and even though Mark Ronson is behind it it's not too poppy.

I know what you mean about the chorus, it gets better with repeated listens. Thankfully the album is awesome and really 'Rufus' rather that Mark Ronson.

Im seriously crushing over the whole disc. Its the best thing I've heard all year. You are so right bout it still being a Rufus album, but Ronson really really really brings the noise with it. Its almost better than the Amy Winehouse disc he did.

Im seriously in love on first listen.

yep. awesome. smile i think it's way better than Amy, but it won't make Rufus anywhere as big, which is good. I think it'll sound great live. and i'll find out in November as i have tickets to see him. smile

Really like the new album. It strikes the right balance between his usual polar opposite operatic excess and snoozy singer-songwriter cabaret tendencies.

Maybe that's why I'm not completely blown away by it. No major highs and lows But it is more satisfying, over all than a few of his other albums.

For all the talk about this being Rufus' big push at mainsyream pop success, it doesn't strike me as all that different than "Release the Stars" to be honest. Still a gret album though.

I think that all the talk was because Mark Ronson produced it but your right it's no more commercial than Release The Stars but equally as good, RTS should have been huge.
