Ray J crashed and burned the morning after the Billboard Music Awards ... and landed in the hospital ... TMZ has learned.

We're told Ray J was extremely upset after his confrontation with Whitney Houston's family -- notably Pat Houston -- during the awards ceremony. On Monday morning, someone went into Ray J's hotel room and realized the singer was "out of it" and couldn't get out of bed.

We're told Ray J was extremely disoriented and was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance.

As for what happened ... it's looking like a combo of exhaustion and dehydration. Ray J had just returned from a quick, 32-hour round trip to China for business and when he landed he immediately drove 4 hours to Las Vegas for the awards show.

Ray J is still in the hospital. No word on when he'll be released.

Knowing RAY J its a selling point for something, man is a whore plain and simple, call him what he is, he gets no pass because he is a dude, guys get away with being whores and women get called out for it. I really think we are overestimating what she is "worth" financially, i know she was a mega star but you'd be shocked how quick it can be gutted by your loved ones. Michael Hutchence the late singer of INXS had a 30million dollar estate which basically all was from their final contract and licensing, his estate was gutted by the mother of his daughter, who also is deceased, his sister mother and brother all fighting over things etc....in the end i think there may be about 10% left for his daughter who is getting to an age where she has access to it. Basically what im saying is that death brings out greed and people that shouldnt get anything to begin with

Ray J Released From Hospital After Deadly Blood Clot Scare

Ray J is out of the hospital and back home after a deadly blood clot scare. The ‘One Wish’ singer was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital a day after the 2012 Billboard Music Awards after a whirlwind 32-hour round trip to China and then jetting back to Vegas for the award ceremony.

His rep explains:

“Ray J has been released from the hospital in Las Vegas and is back home in Los Angeles following an extensive battery of tests to make sure that he did not have a blood clot in his lungs which is potentially a deadly condition that can occur following a long haul plane flight.”

As you may recall, this is the same condition that took rapper Heavy D‘s life this past year.

^ Get out! Sinbad's show got canceled after ONE season cuz it was horrible. Back in the 90s it was a free for all with black tv shows. Errybody and they momma had a show. Most of them sucked ass.

So what? Brandy's first sitcom that aired the same year was canceled quickly too. But to say Ray J is only in show business because of her or Kardashian is inaccurate. He and his sister started together. She just was more successful.

The so what is because that is not what I would call an "accomplishment" to where one could justify his relevance today. He was a child on a show that nobody watched. People did however watch Moesha and that show spawned a spin off that starred Monique who would later go on to win an Oscar. Just putting things in perspective.
