Here's the spanish version:

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

nod this is one of those "it's-friday-afternoon-just-got-paid-gotta-get-ready-to-go-party" songs lol People in the disco era didn't play games.....they really PARTIED! This song reflects that...it captures that late-70s party attitude.

Once again it fascinates me why some artist survive and still can maintain a career on a hit. lol Gaynor's first album Never Can Say Good-bye was superb and really ushered in the Disco ear. Gaynor had some albums that were so/so and sold accordingly until her 1978, Love Tracks album; which featured "I Will Survive" and "Anybody Wanna Party". I think the album before the "Love Tracks" album didn't even chart. Just think "I'll Will Survive" was a B-side song dj's decided to play... the rest is history. Garnor is good singer.

Yep,"I Will Survive" was on the B-side of her single "Substitute".That song didn't catch on,but DJs flipped the record over and,as you said, the rest is history.I think it's amazing when that happens.

'Love Tracks' is finally being remastered this year. Can't remember what label, but it's either Big Break Records or Funkytown Grooves.I can't believe that it's been out of print for so many years. It's one of the biggest albums of the disco era!
