Techically, this is not from a soundtrack. There is a soundtrack for the show, but it doesn't has Waylon's original version. The version on the soundtrack is by a group called Hazzard County Boys with Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg). You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

As a kid, it was The Big Chill. All that phenomenal soul music on one album -- are you freakin kidding me? I'm talking about Marvin Gaye, The Miracles, Aretha Franklin, and so on.
As an adult, that's a harder call. I probably have to say Girl 6. I know it's a bit trite being on a Prince fan site, but it has an amazing collection of rare Prince, popular Prince, and spin-off groups all crammed into one CD.
