If your favourite artist came back to life tomorrow What would happen in the media? It doesn't have to mean you believe it will happen, just thinking of an alternate universe type of scenario [Edited 5/16/12 0:05am]

The media will resort back to attacking them.

What would happen in the media? You turned what appeared to be a pedestrian statement into a very interesting question with the reveal.

It could be about any artist, I kid you not.

they would record a horrid "modern" sounding record, the media would praise them unabashedly, and the whole thing would be forgotten the next week.

So true, and "new fans" would act like they produced the best thing on earth when it's a load of crap.

Duke Ellington would combine forces with Prince and they would tour the country for 4 years straight, do shows Fri, sat, and twice on Sundays. Enuff said.

Can't say I'd see a Best of Both Worlds album from these cats.
But if they did, would they have Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain playing guitar in the background, Clarence Clemons on sax, and Nate Dogg on backing vocals, with some duets with John Lennon, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, and a guest rap with MCA? And what about that super track with Michael Jackson?

^Now that would be a show I'd love to see. You might want to send that idea to Dre

This stuff is pretty easy to answer.
The media would talk about it to death and run it into the ground...and initially most of that coverage would be positive...then after that it would degrade into just looking for flaws and scandals and tearing that person down.
Pretty much the same shit they do anyway. λΉ„

Wolfgang Amadeus I'd worry would get hit by a car before he could do anything.
Now Jimi would just face the same ole nonsense he faced in 1968, but w/ the complications of the net and TV shows dedicated to hasseling famous people. Hopefully he wouldn't get tempted by autotune or collabs w/ stupid rappers (tho smart ones are OK). That would NOT do!
