I am so in love with her silky smooth voice!!! She will be performing here in NYC march 25th. I want go SO bad, but I have rehearsal for an event I have to play for..... But, MAN I'm dying to skip it and go see her. [Edited 5/13/12 22:53pm] | |

Although I wasn't that crazy about her last two discs, I adore her! Such a great voice! Very underrated. Being that her dad was so revered in black music in the 70's and her talents are just as strong as his were, I thought she would have experienced a bit more success than she has. I've always had interest in her and Where It All Begins was my full introduction aside from those few songs with Joe Sample that always play on my Pandora station. | |

She never sold out musically. She never tried to take her clothes off in front of the public neither. yes, Lalah is very underrated. By now I don't know what would change that. She has strong support from top notch muscisians (like Marcus Miller, who recorded with her and took her on tour). But she does not seem to be able to become mainstream. Which is a shame, as she is a brilliant singer. And a very sweet and nice person, but sweet and nice don't count for much these days.... | |
