Yes!! Bobby Brown is Back! I just heard a new track by B. Brown called "Don't let me die" from his forthcoming album The Masterpiece! I'm so excited. I am a true fan of his. I don't get caught up on his past issues. I love his music, period. I think he's a great entertainer and singer. Any Bobby fans out there? What do you think of his new song? Are you looking forward to his album?? Can we please try and keep it positive?

Jimmy Jam said recently that he and Terry were working with New Edition, so how is a Bobby album supposed to fit in with that? NE has made announcements (just like Stevie Wonder) in the past that never panned out, like a Heads Of State album (Ralph, Johnny, Bobby) and another from BBD. Bobby was supposed to release an album a couple of years ago as well. He even performed a song on a talk show then, Leno I think. Johnny has released an album fairly recently though. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yeah he's been talking about dropping this album for quite a while now. NE & BBD as well. I feel like an NE album will never happen. It's been so long and there always seem to be so many complications with them. I would love to see releases from all of them but i'm mostly excited about Bobby's album!!

NE must be doing something, since it was Jimmy who said he was working with them, the group made no announcement, other than something about a movie and book. At any rate NE are presently touring, but they've been doing that for years. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. The reason New Edition ain't gonna put anything out yet is because the members got their own shit they wanna do FIRST before they can get this situated. Johnny put his album out, now it's Bobby's turn. Maybe BBD will be next. THEN New Edition. I personally think they may put the album out in 2013. It'll be 30 years by then.

Amazon lists Masterpiece as being released on June 5. You can pre-order it there. I've been waiting for this as well.

U think Bobby is a great singer?

I like Bobby Brown but the truth is, he needs to work with a good producer. Otherwise, I think his music is average at best. Don't Be Cruel is one of my favorite albums. The Bobby album is underrated.
Just listened to his new single, Don't Let Me Die. I think it's garbage.

Yes, believe it or not I do!! I like his tone and I like that he doesn't over sing the way most r&b artists do these days. I think he's underrated.

"The King of R&B!!!" When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

To me he is! If it weren't for Bobby Brown there would be no Usher and Chris Brown! His influence on the younger generation of R&B is undeniable.

Agreed. Bobby was very important to Home Again's sound. I actually prefer their blend of voices to the solo albums.
