Chuck Mangione ~ Feels So Good You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

My cousin use to wear this song out. The Feel So Good album was my intro to Mangione. He'd gotten a new Kenwood Stereo Intergrated Amplifier with some Klipsch speakers from a local Pacific Stereo here in Dallas. I never knew there was a 15 min version of FSG. I always thought the 9+ min version was the original.

No. There was a longer version, that existed overseas. My dad had it, many years ago and he gave it to me a few years ago. I have it, back at my mom's house.

I remember as a child, they played used that song on a tv spot here in NY. (early 80's) I became obsessed later on to find out what was the name of that song and who played. Love that tune. It reminds be of my wonderful childhood. Every time I hear it I get a warm sentimental feeling. Thank you for bring this up. Thanks Chuck for a wonderful composition.
