That Pet Metheny track sounds like it came out of Hejira. Maybe I'm off base here, but he & Joni plays those weird chords, you just its THEM.

NICE SET! music

"Sunrise" was always a favorite of mine, not too many folks know about that tune, as it's crosses the bounderies from Country to Quiet Storm!

It was a happy accident that I discovered that tune back in '85.

David Spinozza - another rare gem on a 'so-so album.

I miss digging into an album for underatted tracks that were and will never be singles. sad

biggrin I love that version of Monk's Reflections!

Actually, I wish Hal Wilner was still doing these projects - I really liked the Monk project (That's The Way I Feel Now) the Kurt Weill (Lost In The Stars), Mingus (Weird Nightmare) and especially the Disney project (Stay Awake)....I love the idea of a wide range of artists doing their interpretations of these pieces.....
