^ Beautiful stuff. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

That Pet Metheny track sounds like it came out of Hejira. Maybe I'm off base here, but he & Joni plays those weird chords, you just its THEM.

A perfect excuse to post some of Tommy Emmanuel's more mellow tunes... "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

NICE SET!
"Sunrise" was always a favorite of mine, not too many folks know about that tune, as it's crosses the bounderies from Country to Quiet Storm! It was a happy accident that I discovered that tune back in '85.
David Spinozza - another rare gem on a 'so-so album.
I miss digging into an album for underatted tracks that were and will never be singles.

Actually, I wish Hal Wilner was still doing these projects - I really liked the Monk project (That's The Way I Feel Now) the Kurt Weill (Lost In The Stars), Mingus (Weird Nightmare) and especially the Disney project (Stay Awake)....I love the idea of a wide range of artists doing their interpretations of these pieces.....
