The only one I would take issue with is Alicia. I mean at least she actually tries. She might not ever live up to the potential or hype that Clive Davis heaped upon her, but she oozes cool and can play the piano when they actually let her. She's no Tori or Fiona but she's put out a good song or two.
And I do give props to current acts like Gaga, Dave Mathews and whoever else that, whatever their faults, puts their musical careers first and rakes in the dough on tour. We all know there's NEVER been money in record sales for the artist.
Well Dave Matthews is in a different class to me, hes a musician and artist, not tthat Beyonce isnt, but to me its not her focus, maybe early on it was, but now its not, nor justin. Alicia i will agree, and the whole potential thing i never really got into because it was overblown by media and maybe not fair to lump her in with "media stars" like Justin and Beyonce. Im not a huge Alicia fan but it seems her music comes first. It also seems she is not interested in being a pop star. I respect that she can play a piano and at least writes her own music. She does have one descent album under her belt and Id take her over Beyonce, Rihanna or Justin ANY DAY.

When I think of Megastars I think of Muhammid Ali, someone who is globally big not just in America. Beyonce is a big pop star primarily in America.. you know how you judge that? RECORD SALES, her albums dont even sale alot despite her manufactured hype.
I really think his big break from recording albums has shown him up.
Music was never truly in his heart. Fame and fortune was the thing and he's found it in movies and random SNL appearances - the latter of which seems to be where his true talent lies. He's better as an above average comedy musical act with random viral videos with The Lonely Island than creating enduring pop classics.
He's a good performer and I reckon he has more stage charisma and more likeablilty factor than that dick Chris Brown, although that's not saying much. I've seen them both live on stage up close and they were both just plain dull (although neither were headliners for the performances I saw).
