biggrin Touch has always been one of my favorites , I used to wait in vain for someone to release that on CD----( like phunkdaddy, I ended up making my own, biggrin) ...Glad to see that these albums finally got remastered....

Yeah,I'm thrilled that their albums are finally getting the remastered treatment lol I'd like to see the same thing happen with Cameo,The Gap Band,The Bar Kays and others.I don't want any more 'Best Of' compilations,I want the original albums remastered! Thanks to reissue labels like Big Break Records and FunkytownGrooves,we're gonna be getting alot of remasters in the future.

"California 1" is a highlight of the 7 album. It's got a cool latin-rock feel to it,sounding like something Carlos Santana would have recorded back then.It demonstrates how versatile these guys are.I don't have the album credits in front of me,but I bet that Sheila E. is playing drums on this. She appeared on a few of their early-80s albums.

I know this is from the next year, on Fever (1983), but this thread made me feel like playing this---

I think of this as their "Doobie Brothers" song, lol

Con Funk Shun - "Don't Let Your Love Grow Cold"

Doesn't look like it, Soul. I pulled my vinyl on this one & Sheila's not listed. Pete E. was tho....

7 was kinda the McCall's baby. I think he prolly was on the kit throughout.

Of the three albums,I think Touch might be the strongest and most consistent.
