i dont think so, mainly because even though Left eye was moving in the solo direction i really dont think she would have been able to sustain it on her own, her raps in the group were catching, but her solo stuff that came out, was pretty boring to say the least. Nope.
Left-Eye was far more talented.

It's hard to say. I love all three but I always thought T-Boz would have had the greatest success if it was really pushed. Remember when Left-Eye wrote that article in I think Entertainment Weekly or Vibe challenging T-Boz & Chilli with solo projects? I remember being 10 saying Lisa is gonna make herself look stupid since Tionne will outsell her.

To be honest, I couldn't see neither member of TLC having it real good solo-wise. T-Boz tried but nah. Left Eye was alright solo I guess. Chili? Also she didn't have the backing that Nicki was able to have so no. [Edited 5/6/12 16:33pm]

Speaking of Chili, did she ever call Mayweather out for standing her up on the date they were supposed to have on her show?
Wonder if they are still friends now...especiallly with him getting ready to be locked up for a few months for domestic abuse? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

No. | |

No-Left Eye had something, but it was better with the other ladies. She wouldn't have done well alone. She tried to venture out with Blaque. Besides 808 that didn't go well.

That one chick from Blaque is a Left Eye clone

I used to be obsessed with TLC but looking back I think they sold albums cause of great singles and were never really massive. Plus after Fanmail they were all too old to breakout as solo stars.

talent has very little to do with it though "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I think Lisa was alot less willing to chase trends then Nicki, Lisa would certainly have had a more interesting career. 2012: The Queen Returns

Judging from her documentary, she was definitely doing or starting to do some extraordinary things.

Lisa would've never stooped to the lows that Minaj does.
She would've never objectified herself and sold sex like that.
Lisa would've tried to get by solely on her talent. λΉ„
