Roxanne Shante's from the neighborhood over from where I'm from but I never met her. Met Sparky D though when I was about 8, didn't know anything about her though cuz we only listened to hispanic music in my house and my brother didn't let me listen to his rap music... that mutherfucker.

I wish I kept all that old memoribalia that I got of the first and second generation hip hop artists in New York. That'd be great to have if I only knew to keep it.
