The daughter in the blue dress sounds like Valencia Jackson. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That was a pretty good interview, seemed way more real than the Oprah interview which felt like it was more "staged" than anything else.
Glad his kids were invited to the interview and spoke out about how they felt.
Awfully interesting how they said Bobbi Kris declined for THIS interview. Feels like someone is pulling the strings on her end...*cough*Pat*cough* I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

None of these kids look like Bobby We know Bobbi is his

Naw I disagree...I can see him in all of them except for Bobbi Jr. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Imma have to look at em again

You must be talking about Landon, cause Bobby Jr. and LaPrincia are the spitting image of their father!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I think he handled that perfectly.

When Bobby said he still loved Whit I teared up He told the truth and folks need to stop saying he got her on drugs-totally not true.

Okay I'm talking about the one sitting on the end of the couch. Isn't that Bobby, Jr.? Or do I have him and Landon mixed up? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

200% agree. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The one on the end is Bobby Jr. and he (and LaPrincia both) looks like his dad. I feel everyone misunderstood Bobby's relationship and marriage to Whitney.

That seems like a cool, loving family.

Bobby Brown has been through a lot. Contrasting who he is today, against his New Edition days, reminds me of how much time has passed in the interim. I have a lot more respect for him after having seen this interview. I'm hoping that Bobby's opportunity to speak out will bring some peace and closure to both families.

I am so glad he got the chance to set the record straight, once and for all. Bobby Brown DID NOT get Whitney Houston hooked on drugs!
Now I want to see all the people that hated Bobby Brown so much because they loved Whitney so much, get the real answer to the question..."So who did?" I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

That was a good interview. Matt normally comes off to me as King of the Douchebags but this was decent. I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not but I've always felt that Clive Davis is the culprit in Whitney & Bobby's divorce. I believe that he gave her an ultimatum, (your career vs. Bobby). Of course she finally gave in. I'm sure her mom was Clive's reinforcement in his campaign to get her away from Bobby too so she could focus on her big "comeback" he was working on.
I guess it never dawned on him that perhaps it was the pressure he brought to the table (touring before her voice was repaired enough, plans of recording before being ready, etc.) that contributed to her need to escape. No, I'm not blaming her death on Clive but I am suggesting that he too contributed to her anxiety and pressure to deliver something she didn't have to give yet.

It feels good to me to read the comments here because these agree with ME, much moreso than some other pages who STILL insist on placing blame with Bobby. You guys have reinforced my belief that some people actually DO pay attention. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

My thoughts are either her big brother (I read he has had some issues with drugs) or her former running buddy Robin. Just because they were thick as thieves for a while... or with Whitney in the modeling scene she could have tried it at a party and just got caught up. actually I have heard that people who watch the reality show ( I could never bring myself to watch that fuckery) say that Whitney had serious issues and Bobby would kind of pull her back down to some sort of normalcy.
that Bobby was more the enabler than the influencer. Just like I am reading that Bobby Kris had to sort of "control" or contain Whitney when she hit that high.
It seems to me Bobby and Whitney were toxic together because she was out of control... BEEN out of control and Bobby loved her and just did his best to protect her and keep her in control... but never had the balls or (maybe her $$ was too powerful to him) to get tough love on her.
and who could blame him? Whitney's own flesh and blood couldn't get tough love to work on her. I think when Bobby and Whitney got divorced, it may have saved his life. Think about it. He didn't do cocaine before Whitney (and I BELIEVE THAT.... I have heard that since the 90's). and When they got divorce, he has remained sober of cocaine... and I believe that as well. Bobby's drug of choice was always weed and alcohol. He never could really get into the cocaine to deep because for one thing, Bobby was always broke. I can remember Bobby having to go to jail for not paying child support before he and Whitney got married.
But wheh Whitney came into the picture with a previously establish drug habit and millions upon millions of dollars.... Just a bad toxic combination for both of them.
Bobby was the first man she dated that could get down like that. Eddie Murphy and that football dude was good and boring. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Bobby's a liar, he said in his behind the music he was doing cocaine before Whitney. He says he's been sober from "narcotics" for 7 years, but he was arrested for cocaine posession in 2008. Also on his behind the music he said that Whitney asked him to marry her, but told Oprah in 1995 that HE proposed to Whitney. And he's an alcoholic, but won't admit to it.
Whatever Bobby, you're a LIAR.
Child, please. | |

okay, I have never heard this before. and I am going to search this out. Cause if Bobby flat out lied... he need to be called out on it. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Good interview. Thanks for posting.
The folks that I knew that lived in Newark/Ea. Orange NJ have all said that Whit was a fun (and wild) child going back to the early 80's. She was dabbling with the stuff WAY before she met Bobby.
