first single from the album "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" as a CD Single with a previously
unreleased bonus track from the BAD sessions, "Don't Be Messin' 'Round (demo).

Is that BAD Dance Remix that's on the single on youtube or something? Trying to find it to no avail.

The version the Estate has is the Brad Buxer version.
For it to be released now, it would have to be registered with ASCAP or BMI for publishing and royalties purposes. The only version registered has songwriting/production credits for Brad and MDP.

I don't mean to bash Lisa Marie, but she has changed her story so many times now- I just can't believe what she says anymore.
She potrayed MJ in such a bad light before, like some big manipulative man who was controlling her.
You can't force someone to be with you, unless you really want to be with him.

Michael Jackson is “Bad”.. Don’t Be Messin’ is “Cool”

Fans shouldn't bash Lisa. At the end of the day, they were divorced. People who are divorced tend to be bitter about it at least for a while and especially if they are asked about it by others. That's only natural. But that doesn't mean that person won't be upset when their former spouse passes away. I am sure Lisa regrets some of the things she had said. I am sure if Lisa had passed away and Michael was still here then he would have some regrets also. That's life. I believe they both cared very deeply for one another. |

From what I've read, after they've divorced they still maintained a good relationship until 2003 when things started to go wrong for MJ. And I think that's when she started speaking not so nicely of him. And if that's the case you can't really say she was just bitter about the divorce. Either way I don't particularly like her or dislike her and I also believe they were very much in love with each other. But now she's just history to me and I just really don't care what she ever says about MJ... [Edited 5/30/12 20:45pm]

They're going to treat Don't Be Messin Around the same way they treated "For All Time". They kept saying FAT was an outtake from Thriller, yet we received the Dangerous outtake version. DBMA (according to Bruce) was written and recorded in 1982 and is a Thriller outtake.

This this and this! Any fan who spends their days hating on Lisa (and believe me there are MANY) is suffering from a case of jealousy because they never got to meet/talk/sleep with MJ. News flash: time to get over that stuff, guys. As amazing as Michael was, let's respect what choices he made in his life and that he was very much in love with Lisa at the time. I personally feel offended when people make comments about her age and appearance. No self-respecting woman does that to another. And I always thought she's pretty, when married to him and after. I don't always agree with what she says regarding michael, but she knew him and bitter ex wives complain all the time and can be in pain when abandoned. Remember she still had a relationship with him for years after the marriage to some capacity and then it ended badly.

Totally agree! Personally I think Lisa is gorgeous; always has been. And she has that great edge to her that I'm sure Michael was attracted to. Illustration work: http://youngearlgrey.tumblr.com

So... this has probably been discussed 2 MILLION TIMES by now. But as a big Van Halen fan i think i sometimes take for granted.
The big crossover Beat It was.... now to me i'm not a HUGE MJ fan, but i was always a fan of his more political work. But the Beat It crossover is something i don't we will see again. For an R&B artist to have crossed over in a big way to a rock market, and for arguably the biggest guitar sensation of that time to have on the song. It was a big game changer and i take it for granted sometimes
Not to mention the fact although VH had been big for awhile, when Thriller was coming out. They where getting HUGE and by the time the Thriller video came out VH where the biggest rock band in the world.
So yeah... just came to say even as not the biggest MJ Fan. I can't deny Beat It was perhaps the biggest R&B To rock crossover hit ever. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I agree I love MJ songs performed on the brink of pop/rock. I like Eddie, he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Although to be honest, when I saw the live performance together Eddie and Michael in the Victory tour, I was a little disappointed ... both were not so good/ Beat it, Dirty Diana and Give in to me in my personal top 10 favorite songs of Michael Jackson. He is the one who most successfully among pop|rnb artists could enter the rock elements into his work, IMHO. Wow, can't wait to hear it. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Wow I'm even more hyped about this song now! I've been waiting for a long time to hear it, just some more days left now ! Im sure his piano playing is amazing like Bruce Swedien said!

Just wanted to share this interview of Paddy Dunning of Michaels visit in Ireland, he also talks how Michael played the drums with him in his studio.
"Michael was an amazing guitarist, he was incredible on the drums, he stunned everyone when he sat down at the piano. "- Paddy Dunning (about Michael's work in the studio in 2006 in Ireland).
I'd be interesting if he has any footage of it because I heard he blew people away when he played some Beatles song while living in Ireland.... Mike should have def stayed there, he seemed loved and respected. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

Mike was also working with Will.I.Am in Ireland as well. Seems like a lot of recording might have taken place there.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Will.I.Am has said he'll never allow the songs he made with Michael to be released
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
of course he won't because he doesn't have the vocal tracks. He only has the music. Michael kept the vocals to keep the records from being leaked.
