With BAD 25 (and even the Jacksons goin' on tour) on the horizon, do y'all see Motown doin' what they usually do best and releasing material around the time of the Epic release? They've been doin' this since the brothers jumped ship to CBS/Epic in 76.
76- Motown's Joyful Jukebox Music released around thier debut record 79- Boogie released around Destiny (titled Boogie after their hit "Blame it on the Boogie" to fool fans into buying that record.) 81- One Day On Your Life to cash off the success the still popular Off The Wall 84- Farewell My Summer Love with the Jacksons Victory LP and Tour 87- Original Soul of MJ around the Bad release 95- Soulsation! with HIStory 01- J5 2fers around Invincible 09- Unreleased Masters around This Is It
Hopefully we see something from Motown, hopefully the Unreleased Master Part 2 Harry W talked about last year or a Lost and Found release. Hell, maybe Epic drops a Jacksons release to correspond with the brothers goin on tour. PRINCE: Always and Forever

I don't think it's all that obvious, when I'm watching a thread full of adults slam this kid and basically imply that she's an attention whore.
Even if that were true, she's a teenager. Teenagers kinda can't be held totally responsible for that they do during that period. It's like people are passing judgment on and expecting a standard of behavior that is natural for an adult, from someone who is just a kid.
Basically I'm saying, give her some slack.
As as far as LMP...that's different. Maybe she didn't want it, or her mom wouldn't let her, or both. It's weird to me that you're expecting every kid and every parent/caretaker to be the same or operate in the same manner. 비

I think she dresses very much like a teenager. I don´t know if by 24 you apply that she´s dressing too sexy, but I don´t think so. She keeps on wearing trainers, jeans and tops. I see so many MJ mannerisms in Blanket.

At least on TV and on Twitter, she doesn't act the way she was raised, which is all people are questioning. Michael's, in your words, "standard of behavior," for example, was evident, and based on privacy and discretion. So, again, Paris wouldn't even be accessible in public like this if he were present. So why go against that now, craving to be in a business that destroyed her father? That's the overall point, regardless of her age. I mean, Blanket seems to know at least what not to do, and he's even younger. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

No, I don't mean she dresses in a revealing manner, but just, older. Maybe not 24, but she appears to be no less than 18-20 to me. I think it's the heavy eyeliner, more than the clothes. What is she doing on Twitter that's so horrible? She Tweets alot...and? Teenage girls...talk alot. We all know this shit.
And most teenagers like to show out and 'be seen' alot, that's pretty much typical of the age group. What I'm seeing out of her is pretty standard harmless teenage behavior, and actually pretty tame shit now that I think about it, compared to some of the more extreme shit I've seen other teenagers and young adults do (posting pics of themselves in their underwear online).
And what 'access'? You make it sound like she's constantly on tv or something. She's done like a couple interviews.
It's weird to me the way some MJ fans have decided they want to start attacking his kids. 비

I am a teacher and most of the girls her age wear the same make-up. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. That might be true, and I'm young myself however when you're 14 you dont really think about what you're doing, but later on you regret it. I mean those pictures she posted on instagram of herself with a bikini and with her friends infront of the mirror, are not "bad" pictures but since she's the daugther of the most famous guy on the planet, it's not really "alright", not yet (just look what mediatakeout.com wrote about it). Also Madonna didnt even let Lourdes put on clothes like that when she was the same age, she didnt even allow her to fix her eyebrows untill she turned 16. Even Katherine said in that interview with Pierce, that she was 50 /50 about the whole situation of her wanting to be famous/actress, and that Michael would probably not have wanted that to happen so soon. Janet is also very much against Paris going in to the industry this young.
I think that she should be allowed to do whatever she wants too, but she needs to be aware that not everyone going to see it the way she does. I'm wishing her the best, but she'll never get the type of fame Michael had, it's just impossible and I hope when she realizes this she wont get depressed. I can't believe the nerve of some of y'all. Making parental decisions about a teenage girl that ain't even yours!!!
Yeah we love the kids. They're like an extension of their father and they're the last portion of his magic still left on this earth (physically anyways). And we want to protect them from the cruelty of the media and the world. But the reality is we can't. They're not our children technically, and there's only so much we can do. Paris is a normal teenage girl. I think she dresses well for her age, and so what if she wears some make up? She is a celebrity child afterall. And secondly, if she wants to go public and defend her father, I say go for it. I always knew the children would be the forefront of defending their dad. Just because the boys are more withdrawn from the media, doesn't mean Paris should as well. She's outspoken and to those who say she needs to put her mask back on, you gonna keep saying that forever? The girl is growing up and with that freedom comes responsibility. Michael knew he couldn't hide them forever, especially when he knew his daughter wanted to be an actress. I'm sure he would support her in any career choice she chooses just like a father would. And enough with the shade being thrown at Ms. Katherine. Whether you'll admit it or not, she raised 9 kids, including Michael. And was instrumental in his development from child to man. Her disciplinary style wad employed by Michael with his own kids. Granted some decisions she makes are questionable, but in the grand scheme of things, she's the best choice to raise those kids. Otherwise Michael wouldn't have left his kids in her care. The only thing you can do is pray for the children. And keep in mind, Michael's still watching them from above. I'm sure he's proud of all of them. sentence edit [Edited 5/18/12 12:35pm] The salvation of man is through love and in love. - Dr. V. Frankl

Ya'll probably know this, but the song Night Time Lover (originally called Fire Is The feeling, written in the late 70s) was produced by Mike and co-written with La Toya for Donna Summer, but it never happened because they were all busy at the time... It's a shame she never recorded it because it would have probably been a big hit, had she sung it. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace -Jimi Hendrix

yep, exactly. most parents, in or out of the spotlight, wouldn't want their daughters posting pictures of themselves online. no one saw lmp or sees lourdes being allowed to act out in this way because their parents/guardians understood that there was and is so much more at stake for them, even if it is 'normal' teenage behavior. look at how lourdes' simple act of smoking a cigarette was blown up.
katherine is acting as though she has no control over the situation, either. she sat in that courtroom and heard her son on that tape, STILL aching over his lost childhood at what would become the end of his life, and even admits she knows mj wouldn't have wanted this life for his daughter so early. heaven knows, that's probably the only truthful thing that came out of that woman's mouth. yet, here she is allowing and condoning it as though she has no control over paris' decisions. obviously, mj got his 'disciplinary style' elsewhere, not from katherine.

I don't know if Lourdes is allowed to post on Twitter or if she post her pictures online, but she is also exposed enough - doing her clothing line, giving interviews about it (she's lucky her mother is alive and that's why journalist won't ask her these questions. I am sure if MJ was alive they wouldn't ask Paris the questions they do if Mike allowed her to talk to press to promote her film for example as Lourdes promotes her clothing line)
Obviously Lourdes' mother is still alive and she was also caught smoking and I am not sure that's a simple act for a 15 year old or how old she is. I am also not sure if posting pictures in bikini is worse than smoking. It's not like they were posing provocatively. They just took a picture after having a swim. I also wonder what would people say if Paris was caught smoking. I think it would have been even greater deal with Paris than Lourdes cause MJ had this clean image and wanted his kids to be innocent. With Lourdes, she is expected to be wild cause he mother has also been provocative. I think Lourdes even dresses edgier than Paris if you wanna compare them.
I understand your worries, guys, about her being exposed. I also think Mike wouldn't be happy about it and if I were her gardian, I wouldn't let her, but so far she seems very sensible. I wish she wasn't allowed around people like Oprah, but at the same time I don't think that this all means she is destined to become another La Toya or Paris Hilton. At 14, Paris has made more sense than Toy and Paris together in their entire lives. The exposure seems the same to me. SHe also has paparazzi following her.
The biggest difference is that Mike's kids are just pushed to promote whatever there is about their dad and now Paris will be to promote the film which will be used as an excuse for them to talk about her dad. Of course that might be a problem and I am not arguing with you that it's the best for the kids. I also don't like it. I am just saying that I am not that pessimistic to worry about Paris turning into like LaToya cause even though she likes attention, she does seem sensible and is probably still too young and naive. I think she will learn soon. I am not sure if that was a coincidence, but after that bikini incident, she cut off the internet completely for a while. Last time I've checked she's been back, but not as much as she used to. We' ll see. I really like them all and I wish them best.
