I always thought that Whitney would have been a perfect duet partner for MJ's "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" single.

Well she turned it down confused But I think Siedah did a wonderful job!

Did Michael really ask Whitney? I know that he wanted Barbra Streisand (!) to sing it with him,but Quincy convinced him that Siedah would be perfect.

I don't know if Michael personally asked Whitney but I read from a few websites that the song was originally offered to her, Barbara and Aretha (and one other person)but they all declined.

I read somewhere that they didn't want too much exposure for her debut album so they declined for Whitney

Lemme guess Clive and Arista didn't think Whitney was THAT established to do the duet with him? neutral I'm not sure if it's accurate that either Aretha or Barbra was offered. The track sounded more like Whitney would've fit on it. Siedah was the perfect replacement in that case.

No what I think happened was that Whitney's next album was either released or about to be and they knew it was going to be big and they didn't want a lot of songs by her coming out at the same time.

Oh, my! And, literally, just now, I saw an Entertainment Tonight clip about Michael and Liberace's ex-partner. That will be on tomorrow's ET. Only God knows, I guess. Because we sure don't. LOL.

I think Siedah was supposed to tour with Michael but either she got pregnant or she was working on her own album at the time Michael went on tour so she was unavailable.

oh ok. Well that sucks. That's one thing I'm not veer really looking forward to from Bad 25 DVD. I think Sheryl and MJ didn't have great chemistry together on stage. And her outfit is ill
