I'll just say this. At any given time on the Org you can find several Madonna threads--more than several. And she even has a sticky to boot. And it seems not to be a problem with the mods. However, I remember specifically last year, there was an influx of Janet threads, and the mods quickly put a stop to them, relegating all Janet talk to one thread titled "Discuss Any and Everything Janet Jackson". If anybody dared start a Janet thread that was separate from the "Discuss..." thread, it was locked with the quickness. And, I specifically remember one of the mods saying "This is not Jackson.Org." Talk about biased.

Though she didn't perform it at my show, I'm glad she brought the song back to life at other dates.

I think it was a one-time thing as a surprise for someone on her staff. She never performed that live before, so I can see why they freaked out!

I do understand where your coming from and all, but I do think there are too many topics on Janet based on similar topics that could clearly be grouped together. The Madonna threads usually aren't related (There were a lot of similar threads the week of MDNA though)

Believe me, the Janet threads were not similar. It was around the time she announced her tour I believe. There were several Janet threads started, about anything from her relationship to her music. People would complain, and before you knew it they were locked and the mods had created a "Discuss Any and Everything Janet Jackson" thread (non-sticky). When someone asked why all Janet talk has to be relegated to one thread, and if Janet could get a sticky, the answer they got was "This is not Jackson.Org." That may be true, but certain other artists always have tons of threads started about them with nary a complaint. Things that make you go hmmm....
