Body is a good song, don't know why cats hate on it. There was actually a live performace on youtibe of Marlon I think in Japan, but I can't fid it anymore. It was a top 50 pop hit.
Marlon's production in that era was top notch. I liked this tune he did for Betty Wright
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

That is part of the classic Jacksons melody, which goes back to 1977's Different Kind of Lady. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Manu Dibango sued Mike about Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' and won. Billie Jean's rhythm is based on I Can't Go For That. Quicncy Jones said that Beat It was inspired by My Sharona. Lots of songs sound similar. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

When videos first started, we didn't know what to do, we just jumped around in front of a camera. Michael was the first one to take it seriously and said, OK, I'm gonna make these extravaganzas. He raised the bar for everybody in the '80s. On "We Are the World" we were all in the room together. He sort of clung to Diana Ross pretty much, but at one point I was off to the side and he came over to me and said, "I hope you don't mind, but I stole 'Billie Jean' from you," and I said, "It's all right, man, I just ripped the bass line off, so can you!" Michael Jackson created a style that was unique to him, he was incredible. ~ Daryl Hall You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. The basslines aren't even similar.

Marlon, Jackie , Randy and Tito was cute in this lol and I exactly think in this song Marlons vocals are better than on other songs.. While dance steps are simple in this clip, I always thought Marlon was a great dancer, right behind Michael for the groups strongest dancers.

Fun song..but co-sign with SoulAlive about Marlon's vocals.
Funny how the 1984 "motorcycle trend" in videos started after a certain person rode his in a movie.

I wasn't aware that there was any hate for this song. It's my 2nd favorite on the album, behind "One More Chance" (which is my all-time favorite Jacksons song).

The song and video is cheesy as helll. Lol I can see that Michael probably didnt have anything to do with song/video. One of my least favorites from the Victory album. When I think of this video I think of Randy in that striped pants shaking that ass like a woman. Its too funny too watch. Then there's a part in the song towards the end, sounding as if Marlon is wheezing. WTF
