Bob Dylan ~ Mama Said Knock You Out
That blows me away… What he needs to do is call me and let's do it together. I encourage everyone to get out there and buy Bob Dylan's records ~ LL You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I don't remember exactly, 3 or 4 years ago. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Sounds like it was off his radio show he did years ago. I use to tune in to it from time to time, he (not surprisenly) has very wide ranging, eclectic tastes.
Travelling Wilbury's song "Dirty world" (which Dylan wrote) was allegedly written as something of a Prince homage. Certainly has his sense of humour.
