I went to the most awesome gut blistering concert of my entire life!!! I went to see Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers live at The Royal Albert Hall in London, UK last night!! It was the 2nd of 2 nights he did there which was the first concerts in the UK for 20 LONG FUCKING YEARS!!! I honestly think that now in this point in time, Tom Petty surpasses Prince!! I read one review of Prince in Australia and they went so far as to say that his shows now are a hodge-podge of nothing and his concerts dont seem to go anywhere but with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers I DEFINATELY went somewhere last night - to some atmospheric height of musical exstacy!! From the first note to the last EVERYONE was on their feet(the venues security lost the battle in trying to keep everyone in their seats!!!LOL), singing all the songs in the setlist word for word, including tracks he played from his new CD Mojo, which was awesome considering he hasnt been over here in 20 years!!!

I am SERIOUSLY considering getting last minute tickets to see them headline Saturday at the Isle Of Wight Festival this weekend!!!

I wouldn't say Tom surpasses Prince but Tom is great in comcert--I went to see him back in the early 80s and he was terrific. Glad you got to see him and were blown away.
