Terrible Ted is a huge rock star or used to be... i have seen him live & used to be a huge fan. He rocks live! but as i grew up he become a damn cartoon. He is politically incorrect very true, but his views are so other worldly & selfish sometime. He is an admitted draft dodger & having sex with underage teenage girls. And acts like he is a soldier of America & wants to kill all pedophiles

He is the news again for his Obama comments... but besides that i listened to the Ted albums i have... only his first one really stood out. He is a good guitar player besides that i think it is his personality & persona that are what made him famous more than his music.

I know he's considered to be a great guitarist but he seems like a real dick if you ask me. He hunts and is a right winged conservative. He's also pretty preachy and self righteous, which is strange coming from him and some of the shit he's done is his life time.

I don't think ANYTHING about Ted Nugent. And coming from someone who has a long rambling opinion or response for pretty much everything, that's actually saying quite a lot.

I understand people can change etc. But to me he has let his personality & bullshit talk overshadow his music. And i can see why... he is a great guitarist as i did think he was great live. But his music is pretty 1 trick pony territory

I have it on good authority from a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (a lead guitarist) who had Nugent open up for his band a few years ago that Nugent is, and I quote, "A real asshole and a hack guitarist".

Of course, this guy's definition of "hack guitarist" is not the same as mine. I like Nugent's guitar style.

My husband had some Nugent albums back in the day and he is a good guitarist. but I was never a fan. I didn't like the look of him () nor did I like his lyrics. As far as a human being, he's a loser IMO.

First of all, I like Ted Nugent better as a rock/metal musician & composer way better than as a neo-conservative commentator. He was not great in the studio as let say Ace Frehley, Eddie Van Halen, or Randy Rhoads. But Ted is very good, especially on the live stage. Besides his solo career (Cat Scratch Fever being his definite hit single), Ted was also a member of Damn Yankees.

I would hesitate to call him a great guitarist; he's definitely talented and

proficient on guitar (kinda like Prince).

Saw him early in his career with the Amboy Dukes on a show with The Bob Seger System in the 70s.
Didn't like his playing then, don't like it now.

Couldn't care less about his politics.

His only song I've ever heard is "Cat Scratch Fever" so I haven't listened to enough of his music to form an opinion as to whether he's overrated as a musician. As a person, he's the deepest part of an asshole.
