I'd actually heard something on the org and shrugged it off, then I heard of her being so sweet to her fans on facebook and addressing them, but then saw she talked about herself all the time, thinking it was to remind people not to forget her. At first I was seeng why since she's not a media star, but she chose to go the indie route and probably complains about it now for not being mentioned alongside her peers...right?

If not, how is she a bitch? Or is she just assertive? I'm curious.

Sounds like a friend who's ass I dumped after she sold me out and nearly put me in danger. She would be nice to your face and then talk shit to other people about you for no reason, and then go on facebook quoting all kinds of cliches and about being thankful and blessed and be fake-nice to people. People who pull that shit are miserable as hell.

Most people I know that met janet or worked with her said she is such a nice person and wholesome and things like that. But I heard a few odd things aorund All For You era and before that. Usher briefly calling her a facade but then being cool with her, and this one MJ fan I know that met Janet during the All For You tour but then admitted she heard some things about her and could not be a fan anymore. You know anything about that?

If you post the MJ/JJ collection under something like "80's Lp/Photo Collection" it should pass mod scrutiny. You might also encourage other org members to post examples of their collections. There hasn't been a thread like that in quite a while. I am very interested in seeing your MJ/JJ collection.

Believe it or not, that has been topic of conversation within my family for about 10 years now.

My kids will most likely be dividing it up and taking what they want. Sad part is, the majority of it is all personalized to me.. 'BYLLI' It wasnt until CYNDI LAUPER told me that thing are more valuable without personalization. Thats when i cut back on that alot. But some people only sign if they can personalize. So thats where that stands

That's interesting because I find the personal story behind autographs much more interesting than the autographs themselves. I would think in the setting of a music library or museum that the personal background would hold as much value as the autograph itself. This seems to be the case on shows such as "Antiques Road Show." With provenance, of course!

Can't wait. I also saw Gloria's video you posted addressed to you. Seems like a real down to earth woman (which I always took her for.) But, just a suggestion, which I'm sure you discussed with your family. What you have has true value for a museum where everyone could enjoy it. I encourage you to find one you like to leave the collection to as a whole, along with your personal story. That makes it even more special IMO.

Its something to think about for sure. Especially with my signed items by MJ, Janet, Madonna and people like that

No, he hasn't signed in many years, from what I hear. But Sheila E. DOES sign stuff after a show and is happy to do so. She signed two drum sticks for me last year and she is so nice and approachable, even when she has to do YET ANOTHER show right after the first one! Luv the backwards sig, BTW.

I met her twice too and forgot everything I wanted to say other than I love you and being goofy she flashed me her pretty smile and I got starstruck....and it was on the same date 10 years apart
