there's nothing great or praise worthy about creating lame ass repetitive beats on a computer

anyone can do that

that's just a matter of mouse clicking , as opposed to actually making real sincere music

Oh, that's easy - "Pony"

The best stuff he ever did, was the stuff he did with Aaliyah and especially Ginuwine.

I still think a lot of the VERY best stuff he's done is on "100% Ginuwine" in particular. If you ever get the chance, listen to instrumentals - LOUD, in a set of good headphones - of some of that stuff, particularly the tracks "I Know" and "I'm Crying Out".

A woman I knew (who I now DON'T know anymore lol ) took it upon herself a few years ago to link me to all these soundclips...she basically proved to me that Timbaland pretty much stole all his stuff from regional artists around the world...ripped off obscure Middle Eastern music, that kinda thing...

I swear she'd totally wrecked my day. I felt like I was a kid who'd been told there was no Santa Claus or that Superman was really a pussy or something.

So I correct my first post and say those Aaliyah and Ginuwine tracks are the best things he ever ripped OFF. lol

Thank You.

lol yes a musician i like Diamanda Galas ripped into his ass. Cause he took one of her songs, and she was ready to sacrifice his ass to satan razz

With that said, even though i'm not a huge Timbaland fan.... i can't deny the stuff he did for Aaliyah was bomb! and i still dig it.

What tracks did he do for Ginuwine? i'm only really familar with the tracks R. Kelly & Babyface did for him.

I swear, Timbaland was one of my musical GODS, I just thought he was this really brilliant, innovative motherfucker, until she told me that and I swear I was just so disappointed. I was actually kinda mad at the friend too and trying to argue with her...then she linked me to some YouTube vids that proved it and I was like....*hangs head sadly*.

The stuff he did for Aaliyah was undoubtedly classic. I heard the song "One in a Million" and went nuts, and memorized the date that album was coming out, and tried to get it that exact same day and woke up like, "Today's the big day" LOOOOOL.

*sputters* ...What did he do for Ginuwine? He did all his greatest stuff, "The Bachelor", check out that disc, that's Timbaland stuff. Same with "100% Ginuwine". Pretty much all of Ginuwine's most popular stuff, Timbaland did.

I actually prefer the stuff he did for Ginuwine musically, because it's darker and grittier and more experimental or something - like he kind of got rid of the rough edges and cleaned everything up for the Aaliyah stuff, but the Ginuwine stuff is more...okay, I'm doing a shitty job of explaining it. Listen to the "One in a Million" cd and then "The Bachelor" and you'll get an idea of what I'm saying. lol
