Nicki Minaj to Release Fragrance This Fall [img:$uid]http://i40.tinypic.com/152nmrs.jpg[/img:$uid]
April 17, 2012
Nicki Minaj is expanding her empire with her first-ever fragrance -- and she'll be doing some good with the scent at the same time.
Nicki is teaming with Give Back Brands, the same company that Justin Bieber partnered with for his perfume Someday, to create the fragrance, which is set to debut this fall in major department stores.
The Give Back Brand partnership means that a portion of the proceeds of sales of the scent will go to charity; exactly what charity hasn't been announced yet, though. The name of the fragrance is also under wraps for now.
In a statement, Nicki said, "I am so excited about my fragrance debut, and am proud to partner with Give Back Brands for such a personal project." She adds, "I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances; this is yet another extension of my creative expression and I can't wait to share it with the world. I designed this scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind; I know they will love it!"

this is the only way artists of today can make money, thier music nets them shit, they dont have good deals, so if they cant tour and make money, they have to do magazines, clothing lines, fruit drinks, energy drinks, hand bags, perfume etc...oh how the business of music has nothing to do with music anymore "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Not necessarily; if they tour enough they'll do just fine. It's only the ones who can't or won't tour that'll end up having problems...especially if their music sucks and they didn't even write it themselves so they can't rely on royalties either...
Most musicians make the lion's share of their money from TOURING, anyway. [Edited 4/18/12 2:55am] λΉ„
