Every time I see one of these releases, it is bittersweet to me.
This album wasn't nearly as important or popular as Purple Rain yet it gets a full-on awesome set of reissues.
Good for McCartney fans, though. I'm jealous again.

Ever since Paul ended his business relationship with EMI, he has been overly enthusiastic about giving his back catalogue the remastering treatment. He knows exactly how to please his fan base (unlike someone else we know).

RAM isn't just IMO my favorite of Paul's records....it might actually be my favorite of any of the solo Beatle albums.
Personally I'm most looking forward to the THRILLINGTON inclusion. That's one wacky random as hell record.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

After years of derision, RAM is viewed unequivocally as one of the greatest post-Beatles solo albums. "Back Seat of My Car", "Dear Boy" and "Too Many People" are only a few of the outstanding cuts Paul wrote for this once unappreciated album.

OK,I'm gonna just state the obvious.....
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PRINCE??!! Week after week,we see threads like this, where other artist artists are remastering their classic albums with all these amazing goodies.Meanwhile, landmark albums like 'Sign O The Times' and 'Purple Rain' don't get any kinda special remastering. It's time for Prince to stop playing around and UPGRADE HIS CATALOG!! Diehard fans go nuts for stuff like this....it gives them a chance to "celebrate" a classic album.
OK,I said what I needed to say.Carry on
