I barely remember my grandmother having a Marvelettes album

around the house when i was a kid. She used to play some song

by them called Barefootin.

I can't wait neither. I got goosebumps. The Marvelettes are now my favorite of the Motown girl groups.

I love me some BAREFOOTIN its a remake but The Marvelettes put their stamp on that one and like you Timmy84 The Marvelettes & The Velvelettes are my FAV girl group.....I love that Motown reissued The Marvelettes Complete Motown albums i have BOTH and the 4th disc with unreleased gems are just AWESOME.......SO glad that they are featured on Unsung and i hope they do a good job with their story. I also read the book about The Marvelettes which was a good read with help from Katherine Schaffner.

Those women were some of the real unsung heroines of Motown in its early years.
