I change my vote. I'd rather not see a MJ hologram especially with his brothers.. She Don't Speak..But She Remembers

I knew they were going to do this. Then for them to act like this isn't the first time they thought of doing it...please I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

You know they had thought of bringing Michael some kind of way. It wouldn't surprise me if they actually post old footage of Michael and impose it as if he's on the stage again like they did Elvis one time...

Well if they need to bring Michael on stage then why are they even touring in the first place? Ahh hell, it doesn't matter because I'm not wasting my money on these has beens anyway.
Carry on. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Dr Dre on Holograms: ''Hopefully We Can Bring Back Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix'' April 20, 2012
Dr. Dre has spoken of his pride at bringing the hologram of Tupac into the public eye and has said he hopes the likes of Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix can also be resurrected.
Speaking to MTV News about the reaction to the hologram's appearance, Dre said he believed "everybody was in love" with the hologram and said that he hopes other iconic artists can also be resurrected in this manner.
Speaking about this, Dre said: "I think everybody's in love with it right now, so we're having fun. Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out their favourite artists. Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let's see what happens."
Dre also revealed that he plans to continue to work on holograms and hopes they will eventually be able to be presented in 360 degrees.
He added: "I'm not sure right now, there's a technology that's happening where the hologram could be 360 degrees. Right now it's flat, it just looks like it's three-dimensional from the front, but I'm working on some new and different things for the future."
Speaking to NME earlier this week, the boffins behind the Tupac hologram have said it'd "make sense" to take the likeness of the late rapper on tour.
Head of Music at Musion Sanj Surati said that although no firm plans are yet in place for a tour, the huge response to the hologram would make it difficult to ignore the option to use it again.

And I really hope this doesn't start a trend, sure it works for some acts like Tupac and maybe Kurt Cobain as a one off thing but what happens when they try to recreate the genius of Hendrix or Micheal Jackson? It seems disrespectful to their legacies, and not even in that endearing Elvis impersonator way.

What's next?
Since we are tired of walking into a store and not getting help, are we going to have hologram employees?? (if the holograms can be programmed to answer all of my questions and provide "old school" friendly customer service, i may be up for that)
Hologram cashiers?
Walk into a resturant - Hologram Hostesses??
We are moving into too fast people...........slow down~!!!!
Lonely? How about "Hologram Henry and Hologram Hollie?" Add more and have a party!!
Find out what it like to be married for 20 years instantly, with "Hologram Hell-en"!!!

Give DNA a couple more years and we wont need Holograms to enjoy dead singers. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Just don't bring back certain members of my family!!!
I kept them hidden from my kids and changed the stories to protect the innocent, I don't need that shit to come back up!!!

To be honest I think its very disrespectful to ALL of them. The 2pac hologram was nice for what it was but making a hologram a tour is taking it to the extreme. It is very disrespectful to make pretend a false image and then charge people millions of dollars to see it. We all hate to see icons and fantastic legends pass but you have to let the best rest because recreating an illusion is false and disrespectful to what they would have wanted "artistically".

I know that's right! | |

Dr. Dre has helped create an all-new Frankenstein monster to exploit and monetize. The estate had better not sanction a two-dimensional MJ.

Same with the families of Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye.

Seems we should be focused on real live entertainers who can actually.............ur entertain.

What could be worse...making MJ and all holograms wear Beats by Dr. Dre heaphones, T-shirts and hats to help promote his brand.... They are all dead, what can they say??
We have managed to take away every moral, ethic and standard of living, why not take away, Rest In Peace???
What a shit hole we live in!

I have to be honest and admit that I'm actually cool with the Jacksons doing the hologram Michael thing because when I first heard about the tour, I swear, I was worried that if ticket sales weren't up, Jermaine and/or Joe's ass would have tried robbing the crypt and dragging Michael's bones up on stage or some shit.
I know. I know. It is just terrible that I could even think some morbid shit like that but the thought did cross my mind and I just bet it wasn't only my mind either. 'Fess up! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I hear ya | |

I was expecting them to bring up an impersonator

The Jackson brothers proved a long time ago that they have no dignity.I'm not the least bit surprised that they are considering this.

Yeah I just watched it and it is really creepy, but genius as hell. It was weird cuz the crowd was quiet until Snoop started rapping with Pac
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
They probably were thinking the same thing we all though: It was creepy as hell
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah it was just too unreal I mean really creepy and bothersome. Happy to see Pac getting love again, but where do we draw the line when it comes to dead celebs?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
If he hadn't disapperared into a mist I might have questioned his death
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I started to feel like that too. I mean it actually made me sad all over again when the hologram disappeared I think they need to leave stuff like this alone. Cuz God knows if they bring back Mike I'm gonna cry.
