When he made his early-80s comeback with ballads like "One In A Million" and "Just Be My Lady",I was like, where's the funk?! lol Thankfully,he finally decided to get funky again with this 1982 album.

I loved those two slow jams and also "When We Get Married". I had never heard of any of his funk back then except for "Sooner Or Later" and "Don't Stop When You're Hot". I had read in the magazines back in the early 1980s that his funk fans were pissed with him becoming a balladeer but I had never heard any of his previous stuff back then. Well, I had heard it "The Jam" on the radio back then but never knew he was part of that group until he started hanging with Prince in the late 1990s.

Andy is a four letter word.

Always felt this tune was very mid-tempo, still liked it tho'

Produced by George Duke, the same cat that produced "Let's Hear It For The Boy" lol which he didn't like

I forgot about this song, haven't heard it since it was originally out. I used to hear it on the radio, but never knew who it was.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
