not likely. her career was already in slight decline at the time of her death. the album she had out that year didn't do much until after she died.

Her last album was great even if she was slipping down at first, it was what she called her own version of ''Control'' So maybe she would have had a HUGE Rhythm Nation next?

I think if she was still alive she would be a bigger actress than Beyonce. She obviously had more on-screen presence and was more talented in that arena. (though that's not saying much considering the alternative)

But as far as music and the endorsement deals, perfume, fashion, and general whoring of the mass-market? No, I don't think so.

To me, when you have to be extra it's a sign that you're not all that to begin with. It's always the same thing with Bey. Hiding behind an 80 lb weave. 14 years and I don't think I've ever seen her natural hair...at an award show, out promoting, in a video...nothing. When is she gonna do somethin different? Why not rock a short-cut like Kelly or an old Halle pixie-cut? Could it be because she can't?

And Angelina is very pretty. I should have left her off. It just bothers me that she's such a toothpick now. She needs a cheeseburger.

I loved Aaliyah, but also remember her album was dropping although I think her albums were bigger on the r&b/hip hop charts than the Billboard 200 anyway to begin with. She was a household name with soundtrack singles Are You That Somebody and Try Again/Romeo Must Die from what I remember, so if she kept going, I think she would have had greater success at some point, if not with the self-titled album, in the mid 00's around the time Usher, Beyonce and Rihanna did. I also agree Beyonce is more pop and Aaliyah was more hip hop/street. Both are also different type of performers onstage and do it really well, so I agree with those of you saying it's unfair to compare the two in that sense.

Which brings me to Brandy. She was much bigger than Aaliyah mainstream-wise, and also released strong and underrated albums Full Moon and Afrodisiac, though the numbers were not high, so it's hard to say whether Aaliyah would have followed the same path or not. Brandy had vocals in her favour, and Aaliyah had the image, dancing, pretty voice though not as strong as Brandy's yet soothing and soulful.

I totally agree with U. Not just because U mentioned my name. The key is what u look like without make up & hair. Kelly has always been my favorite out of DC to. To this day I think she slays Beyonce with or without make up. U right its her skin tone is why they ignore her beauty.

Beyonce everytime she leaves out, she is always made up from head to toe. Even when she is lying on the beach.She is unrecognizable when she takes that lacefront off and the make up. Anyways I agree Kelly is gorgeous and I've heard that at one point she was more popular than Beyonce outside of the US, I do believe that. Her duet with Nelly has stood the test of time, and some singles she dropped in 2007 rivaled Beyonce's IMO and should have charted high, but they didn't. I believe she was set up so Beyonce could get ahead of her, like with bad timing and all. Don't get me wrong, I like Beyonce a lot and enjoy B'Day and Sasha Fierce and was impressed with those tours when I attended, but I really get sick of her if I see too much of her until she does something different and think she acts ditzy in interviews compared to her DC days. Oh and Letoya Luckett was my favourite DC member when they debuted.

I'm with you about Megan Fox, but Angelina Jolie is a beautiful woman. She's really not slightly above average. So is Halle Berry. Hall Berry is beautiful.

Jessica Alba is also someone who is flawless w/out makeup. It still boggles my mind that she is not half black
