Hell yeah!! Huge fan of Yoko, and have all of her albums. 'Fly' is indeed an amazing record.

Apparently we have very similar taste in music. I was happy to see John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band as your #1 1970s album.

I originally had Yoko's Plastic Ono Band on my list, but I replaced it with Fly since it's a double album. There's not a track on either album that I don't like.

Big fan of 'Approximately Infinite Universe' as well.

Yoko Ono? really? I had no idea she was considered a real artist.

She's an 'experimental' artist. Her music doesn't seem to appeal to most people, so you're not alone. I genuinely love her music (though I don't love every song), and she's one of my top 10 favorite artists.

20ten?

I hate to say it, but it'd probably be in my top five of 2010-2012, too. Not because it's a great album, but because I can only think of about 3 or 4 albums from this decade so far that I really loved.

I liked it a lot, too, but I didn't love every song. My favorites were "What A Bastard The World Is" and "What A Mess". After her first two albums, my other favorites of hers are Season Of Glass and Between My Head and The Sky (and of course, the John & Yoko albums).

Just because this is a Prince forum doesn't mean that you

have to kowtow to the mediocrity that plagues his discography.

20Ten sucks - it's basically rehashing old material because

Prince is old, comfortable and knows his zealous fan base will

purchase anything he puts out: club online memberships, goofy

fragrances, and crap music.

I think it was established in the thread that the 2000s decade ends at 2009. You need a separate decade starting in 2010 for Madonna's new album.

Well, since other people are breaking the rules, I updated and expanded my list to 10 albums per decade. I could only come up with 4 for this decade so far, and even they aren't really classic albums. The only album I've really loved is my #1 pick.

Perhaps the OP didn't want to read any extremely long lists.

I wasn't saying everyone has to like it at all. I was saying i like it. Are you saying that it isn't allowed to like it?

There are a few Prince albums I have very little time for, One nite alone bores the shit out of me. The production on The Truth sounds cheap, Crystal Ball was a massively wasted oppurtunity and a third of it was 4th rate material, I never managed to listen to all of Karmasutra. The last live cd with the book was shit.

But i really enjoyed 20ten, you know for me it's better than The Gold Experience.

Surely you can accept people have different tastes. You know my mother thought Prince was crap and found alot more merit in the songs of Cliff Richard and there was nothing wrong with that.

I may be wrong but I have to wonder if that was intentional and it's partly why I like that album so much also.

After the bloated productions of a lot of his albums starting with Lovesexy it was nice to hear the songs being given a chance to breathe.

The production reminds me a lot of Dirty Mind, kinda rudimentary but all the better for it.

Curious you're a fan of both Kylie Minogue, Metallica and U2. I felt they were kind of polarizing artists, didn't think of seeing them together. Curious mix.
