American Idol last night............ Before last night's vote, I told the wife the following: Honey, the show has an extra week 2 make up because 1 contestant was kicked off the show. Don't be surprised if the real top 3 vote getters wind up in the bottom 3 so the judges have 2 use the "save" this week.

It's not that surprising that she would be in the bottom, is it? For awhile now it's been about the guys. Girls can't win this show now. From reading the boards, you could see lots of folks are sick of the ballads.

The fact that voting determines if they stay is what makes it ridiculous. The bottom 3 were the best of the bunch. However I feel that the one girl (not Jessica the other one) while she may sing well, she lacks any emotion in her singing. Joshua is fucking awesome and Jessica's great too. | |

i agree with u gray that once one contestant was let go, the "save" had 2 be used because FOX has that show booked for a certain amount of weeks.
I actually thought they would have used it on deandre or the female singer that got the haircut who IMO was the best singer that week.
they have been keeping some singers on that should have been gone long ago but that's "Idol" 4 ya man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |

Jessica is truly a brilliant talent, and maybe possibly the best singer the show's ever had. But she rubs me and probably a million other people just a little bit the wrong way. She's got a megastar voice and yet that seems to be what her life has been 100% devoted to all along - becoming famous. I think people wanna hear love and pain in a voice, not cold calculation. Me and my mum last night was in disbelief Jessica was in the bottom, but to be honest as soon as I saw the three of them on the right side I know it was the bottom 3. I've only seen this show a few times but every time I see Jessica sing I cant believe what I’m hearing, shes the best singer I’ve seen on a talent show and the judges never give her the biggest of praises, aways to the others and they sound amateurish compared to her, for example when she did 'Turn the beat around' they criticsed it

it was done brilliantly, and when she did that Whitney tune she sung it better than Whitney! Don’t believe for a second she was in the bottom 3, no way. The program and phone results must be fixed, I think they're only doing to entice more viewers.Yep, FIXED. Let's not forget the producers leaked the story to TMZ hours before the show to guarantee people would watch. No way do I believe Jessica was voted off before Hollie. No way.
There will be a stunning turn of events on "American Idol" tonight, because TMZ has learned one of the absolute favorites to win the competition will be eliminated. Sources connected with the show tell TMZ ... producers are scrambling to persuade the judges to use their "save" on the contestant. We're told producers actually thought 2 of the 3 contestants in the bottom tonight were strong candidates to win the entire competition. And we're told the person who is booted tonight is the one producers thought was the strongest on the show, and they are as stunned over the vote as they were when Jennifer Hudson was kicked off the show.
