George Harrison ~ This Song You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I loved the fact, that he was not afraid to make fun of himself with this song.

George has another song called Blood From A Clone. He wrote it because Warners (who distributed his Dark Horse label at the time) wanted him to record some disco tunes. He also has Sue Me Sue You Blues about the Beatles suing each other in court. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. And you know that, "This Song" written right after he lost the case for, "borrowing" the melody for "My Sweet Lord", from The Shirells, He's So Fine". "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

George later bought the publishing for He's So Fine. So I guess he made his money back. Paul wasn't the only one buying song copyrights.
