Good for her, the album's not nearly as good as PF, but there are some decent cuts.

i can remember the days when i owned about 70-85 of the top 200 albums, and almost 9-10 of the top 10, this top 10 i own 2, getting a third at some point, the rest, not if you gave them to me free.

I bought only the album by Adele from the list. The album is good, but I do not think it is so magnificent, so it is exaggerated neutral
I did not buy any more an album from the list, I do not think these albums are worthy of my money, but I downloaded some of them. Tuskegee, MDNA, I Win - not bad.
Nicki and 90% of her songs are terrible annoying. mad

lol well that's low... I read a couple weeks ago that the album was supposed to do 300. lol

Anyways, she'd probably get about 50K next week.

Adele will reach ten million before 2013 if she keeps up.

But biggest #1 seller first week of the year. It will go gold. Platinum not so much. The concert is going to sell out fast and she will once again whoop all the girls and sweep up weaves.

If u compare apples to apples musicology to mdna there is no way this is going to go multiplatinum like prince did. This will barely do gold despite having all the free giveaways counted. The third week numbers r also looking very bad.

Adele will tie purple rain next week ad will have more weeks at #1 i think

Her only other hope is to get live performances out on network tv some more, like airing her tour on HBO, which I doubt she will do again.

But again the comparisons of those 2 albums is impossible on so many levels. One is that it's been 8 years since Musicology which in 8 years has seen the music industry sales drop 60-70% overall. Two Sony is a major and 8 years ago labels still mattered Live Nation is not a label by any means. Three Prince was everywhere promoting every talk show MTV etc and all these things were important still back then and fed his sales big time! And his tour was dubbed the "last time" which was a lie, all the songs he played are still played at shows

Another thing people missed, Madonna had the biggest fall In history and yet she is still number 8? So much for the boom in the industry the industry sales are in the toilet more now than ever a record breaking fall would have been her album dropping to #148 not number #8.

Good point, didn't think of that. Biggest fall and still being in the top 10 doesn't sound like the biggest fall ever.

I own only one album on this top 10 list, the album by Of Monsters and Men. I think it's a good album, and yes I might be biased because they're from my country (btw this album has the highest Billboard chart entry EVER by an Icelandic artist/group, even counting Björk). I haven't heard the other albums (aside from a few tracks here and there), expept of course most of Adele's 21, which is probably the only other album on the list I would want to listen to. Only problem is that Adele's singles have been so overplayed on the radio I would probably just stick to the album tracks. razz

If you haven't heard the Of Monsters and Men album, I'd recommend checking it out, there's more to it than "Little Talks". They're also a great live band - I haven't seen a full show but I saw a short acoustic set they did in downtown Reykjavik last summer.

Madonna's and Gaga's fall were actually typical regardless of the percentage. Still I love that at least three albums are doing more than 100K. And two of them I can actually stomach (not Minaj lol).
