I think there is something about Fantasia squandering the opportuinity she had from the Idol thing that inspires apathy in people. The reality show where she was seemed to be making bad choices left and right didn't help. The redemption story is wonderful, but it really was worked to the hilt and there is no more gold in them there hills. K. Cole coulda easily gone this way, but she is just too tough to let it happen. And there was some luck on her side.

I totally agree she didn't take advantage of the opportunity AI gave her. Fantasia made some bad decisions before AI, and just because she has a little money, does not mean her behavior is going to change. She didn't have the support she needed to handle the sudden fame, and it showed.
