Honestly if you really sit down and think about it, fame sounds like a bunch of bullshit anyway. I bet there's been a lot of people who have gotten into showbusiness, and had success then realized they didn't know what they were getting into.

It's just that it isn't something you hear people say alot because it's easily misinterpreted as someone who supposedly has everything, whining and being ungrateful or whatever.

But have your whole life out there constantly under a microscope and everyone feeling entitled to access it and judge you and see how long you'd want to continue something like that.

Entertainers who start to regret their own notoriety do what's needed to evade it. They become silent, and they don't grant interviews about their "despair" just to bring about more attention. So, again, she's lying, and this is a PR move. Perry wouldn't drop her fame and career if her life depended on it. And if the criticism she's receiving now stops, she'll be proclaiming how much she enjoys her status again.

That's true, a lot do start to pull back - although from time to time they will still come forward out of necessity in order to promote a product. If Perry has something out right now or is about to release something soon then that might explain the interviews.

Also - it depends on how much control Perry has over her career and what she does or doesn't do. Some artists, like Prince, are at the point where yeah, they call all the shots and if they don't want to do press or make appearances then they don't have to. But whose to say that Perry has the reins? How long has she been out. It might be a case of her not wanting to do interviews constantly but the record company people lining all this stuff up for her anyway and her not really being in a position where she can say No.

So I wouldn't necessarily assume that she's bullshitting here. Maybe she is just genuinely sick of it and decided to say so when the subject was brought up.

Just like people who decide they are quitting facebook or twitter and the next thing you know....

As of yet I dont have a beef with the Beib, from what I hear the kid goes out of his way to please his fans and his charity work is something everyone could learn from. Lets remember its pop and for teens.
