Your thoughts on punk rock!

How many here like punk rock? In the era of disco this really woke people up. Real rock is raw and stripped down.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Some of it I really dig, some not so much.. more a fan of "post-punk" bands like Wire, Joy Division, etc. Love the impact it had on the music world, though. Lots of amazing music came out of that movement, and was inspired by that movement.

Punk Rock is my shit! the 70's to 80's era of punk rock was amazing. Strangely enough a lot of metal people ''diss'' punk rock confused Cause apperently coming up they where forced to sound punk? oh well whatever lol

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

i thought punk was great at the time and i jumped on the bandwagon, but it hasnt aged well

and looking back at it now it was just as cheesy and manufactured as the dinosaurs it was meant

to replace ,but i think stuff like led zep and the who sound better than punk today, i mean

how silly do the clash look now in those army uniforms.
