Christina Aguilera hasn't released a new studio album since 2010 Bionic, but she's currently working on a new record that's expected to be released at some point this year. But when it finally arrives, Christina says, "It's gonna be great."

In a video interview conducted backstage after her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday, Christina said of the new disc, "It's coming! It's coming!" and noted that it's taking some time because she likes songs that "come from a personal place," not just random tunes she gets from some producer.

Christina went on to say that she's "very, very excited" about the project, adding, "It's fun, exciting, introspective, it's great."

It remains to be seen if Christina will debut any of her new material on The Voice, in the same way that she and Adam Levine debuted "Moves Like Jagger" -- the biggest hit in years for both of them -- on the show last year.

Hopefully some type of 40 and 50's remakes that she does well. I'm glad she gained weight never liked her when she was so skinny.

It's not that I don't like her. I honestly don't know what she looks like.

Sure, I've seen many pictures of her, but she's so made-up that I can't see her actual face.

I once saw a picture of her without make-up - or so the Enquirer said - but that woman looked nothing at all like the woman in the above photograph.

I am not sure that there aren't several Christina Aguileras, and that none of them are exact twins.

Somewhat true. More people are went towards Britney, unfortunantly and her peers can't stand her. Maybe Bionic humbled her.

My husband says the same thing. He has no idea what this woman really looks like. She is so fake. I'm not a huge fan, but I've heard many singers who are far worse than she is, but I don't like how she always oversings. I wish some of these "oversingers" would just sing and let us hear their real voices.

Y'know what, I think you're on to something.

If she was honest and said "Yeah, my new album will be chockful

of mediocre tunes with me over singing vapid lyrics while dressing

in a whore's uniform to attract attention to myself," I would be more

interested in listening to her album, which despite her hopeful outlook,

will in fact be chockful of mediocre tunes with her over singing vapid

lyrics, dressed in a whore's uniform for attention.

I just don't know that anyone cares about her putting out another cd

I like Christina but she needs a bra. Badly. On The Voice this week her titties were sagging down to her hips!
